How far can you get on one tank of gas? The guys find out as they race from Portland, Oregon to San Francisco without being able to fill up. Whoever makes it closest gets the chance to drive the toughest off road machine in the world in a high-octane race in the remote Colorado mountains.

The early pioneers and settlers crossed the Rockies in covered wagons, braving tough weather and harsh terrain. So how would modern day covered wagons cope with the same journey, carrying the same things and having to cross the same rivers and mountains? Rutledge, Adam and Tanner decide to find out, and set out to conquer the Rockies in soccer-mom vans.

It's the battle of the big 3 as the guys compete over which is the best new police car to replace the Crown Vic, in a series of madcap challenges around Detroit, Michigan. The winner gets to race the fastest Police Car in the country -- the Corvette ZO6 -- in an action film style chase through the Long Beach docks as he tries to catch a "perp" riding the ultimate escape vehicle.

Getting to 150 mph used to be the preserve of supercars. These days you can reach that speed in a new 30,000 dollar car, but what's the least you can spend and still reach this epic speed? The guys find out as they spend as little as possible on three used cars, put them through their paces and then head out to the famous El Mirage dry lakebed to attempt to reach 150. The winner gets to review the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse--the fastest and most expensive production car in the world.

Is it possible to make a vehicle that's as good on land as on the water? Rut, Adam and Tanner build their own and put them through a series of road tests before embarking on a huge water challenge, attempting to cross Lake Ontario from Buffalo to Toronto.

The guys choose their favorite SUV's and meet up on California's Pismo Beach to start an epic journey and put their vehicles through a series of challenges.

After getting some experience riding along with real cabbies, they reveal their creations, put them through a series of tests and then hit the Vegas strip to see who can get the most tips. Then we review the newest supercar to come out of the UK--the McLaren MP4-12C, and see how it stacks up against a good old American NASCAR Cup car.

Then he reveals his own concept car designed to protect you against the worst things on the road--other drivers. Finally, he gets behind the wheel of the legendary Ford GT40 and puts a bizarre twist on the classic Le Mans race where Ford beat Ferrari, with an unsuspecting Rutledge at the wheel of the Ferrari.

Tanner, Rutledge and Adam are challenged to drive a road-based version of all 14 states on the trail in just one day.

With massive storms devastating ill equipped parts of America this winter, Tanner, Adam and Rutledge decide to do their civic duty by trying to make a multi-tasking municipal hybrid in the form of a snow-plow school bus. The person whose contribution is deemed the most useful gets to race the Nissan GTR against a competition level snowmobile.

Tanner, Adam, and Rutledge have to deliver a load of logs to their destination. In the way to their destination, they will face challenging roads and off-roads. This is a continuation of Season 2 Episode 9 Big Rigs.

The guys try to answer the question and travel to Louisiana to take them out of their natural home on the narrow city streets of New Orleans and deep into Cajun Country where they have to hunt and survive alongside the locals. Whoever did the worst in their car suffers the humiliation of having to drive the world's smallest car for a day in their home town.

We find out what goes on in Rut's head as he takes control of the show and gets to do whatever he wants. In the process he enters a championship race and almost kills himself, becomes an inventor and almost kills Adam, and tries it out as a designated driver on the late night streets of San Francisco and almost kills them both.

Which is the best modern muscle car? Adam, Rutledge and Tanner fight it out on the way to a high speed attempt at a NASCAR track, and Rutledge takes Tanner into the Utah desert to prove how fast their new mustangs are in a relay race against horses.

In episode one there's a battle between two snakes as Rutledge Wood and Tanner Foust give the soon to be replaced Dodge Viper SRT a fitting send off by pitting it against a Cobra attack helicopter through the streets of Griffin, Georgia. Adam Ferrara, Rutledge Wood and Tanner Foust settle which is the best Lamborghini ever, in a 180 mile an hour desert drag race. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin takes to the Top Gear test track.

Tanner goes to England to try out a sports car made from wood--with surprising results, and the three of them race against each other from Miami to Key West in car, boat and plane. Michelle Rodriguez gets on the Top Gear test track.

RVs are roomy and comfortable, but they're terrible to drive. So to solve this issue, Adam, Tanner and Rutledge design their own RV that has to be not only comfortable but also fun to drive, and take them on a southern road trip. Along the way they compete in a series of wild challenges, culminating at the famous infield of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The guys attempt to build the perfect car for the apocalypse--affordable, fun to drive, and still zombie-proof. After testing its performance, weaponry, and defenses, they have to race across a ghost town with the Post-Apocalypse Stig in hot pursuit.

Tanner races his favorite cut price sports car against two extreme skiers down a mountain. Rutledge finds out if Aston Martin has solved a horsepower problem in the new Vantage model and Adam and Rutledge try to beat professional drift champion Tanner Foust in a drifting competition by cheating. Can American Supercars compete against their better-known European Rivals such as Lamborghini and Ferrari? The hosts they take their favorite American supercars on a road trip from Beverly Hills into the Californian desert for an America versus Europe supercar showdown. The winner gets to put a brand new European muscle car - the $300,000 622 horsepower Mercedes SLS AMG black - to the test.
