The safety of Tandy and the group is in jeopardy as armed intruders storm the Malibu beach near their home, and no one can agree on what to do. While Melissa takes drastic action, Tandy gets a new lesson in fashion.

Phil's prayers have been answered—sort of—now that he has found the last woman on earth, Carol. He finds himself back among human existence, and somehow engaged to be married.

Phil and Carol leave on their road trip across the United States, but Carol quickly regrets her decision to leave.

Along with most human life, the virus wiped out normal traditions and holidays. As Christmas approaches, Carol spearheads a “Secret Santa” gift exchange to spread some festive cheer.

The first moments of the deadly virus outbreak are revealed through a special lens.

The gang ventures out in search of what they think could be a new sign of life, but are surprised at what they actually find. Meanwhile, Todd makes a few morbid discoveries of his own back at the mansion.

Phil finds out he's not the last person left on Earth, but things aren't as wonderful as he would have hoped.

As Tandy gets used to having his brother back on Earth, Todd begins feeling left out; Mike discovers more about Erica than the group has ever known.

Tandy tries to host a party for the group and Todd’s luck takes a turn for the better.

Tandy wants to learn about Lewis' past, while Carol asks Gail a favor and Todd helps Melissa deal with her mental state.

Todd asks Tandy for parenting advice when he notices that Jasper is acting more reckless than usual. Meanwhile, Carol and Erica realize that Jasper may be the only potential suitor for their babies and begin vying for his attention.

Pamela tries desperately to redeem herself with everyone, as the gang finally reaches Mexico. Meanwhile, Todd is disappointed that Zihuatanejo is not the paradise of which he'd dreamed.

The gang throws a huge celebration canvassing every major holiday, but Tandy and Todd's bro-mance hits a rough patch that threatens to end the fun.

Phil becomes annoyed at all the attention Todd is receiving and schemes to bring the attention back to himself when he finds a stray cow. To do so, he pretends to steal the cow, but when he really does lose it, Todd eventually finds it and allows Phil to take the credit. That night, the group discovers that the cow has apparently wandered up the stairs of Carol's house and is now stranded, causing Carol to officially move in with Phil. In a brief flashback, Carol is seen purposely bringing the cow upstairs.

Todd sinks into a deep depression, leaving the rest of the gang to console him. Meanwhile, Tandy and Carol can't keep their hands off each other.

Tandy tries being a helpful, responsible adult in order to finally win Gail's praise. Meanwhile, Todd is furious with Melissa for keeping him away from Jasper.

Phil Miller continues to live in Tucson.

While Todd butts heads with Erica, Melissa is determined to form a strong female friendship with her. Meanwhile, Carol grows suspicious that a new stranger could be living nearby.

The group sets off to find Melissa when they find a note she left saying "Goodbye". In the meantime, Gail has her own adventure.

A thermal heat detector reveals a potential sign of life outside of the Zihuatanejo village, but Tandy doesn't want the group to split up to go investigate. Meanwhile, Todd and Erica have trouble seeing eye-to-eye.

The knowledge that Todd and Melissa are having sex drives Phil to manic despair, so Phil arranges a community meeting to discuss grievances. However, his plans go awry when everyone instead agrees that he should clean out the pool he has been using as a toilet. The next day, Phil schemes to leave Todd in the desert to die, but his conscience prevents him from doing so. Todd expresses gratitude to Phil for helping him find his way to Tucson, which motivates Phil to finally clean out his toilet pool and bring an outhouse into his home, much to Carol's delight.

Phil/Tandy finds redemption when he saves the day.

Tandy and Gail face off in a major disagreement, on which the whole group must weigh in, and Carol is forced to choose a side. Meanwhile, Melissa, Todd and Erica each have major milestone moments.

Carol panics when Todd and Melissa leave for their honeymoon, and Erica and Gail decide to live on their own for a while.

Tandy devises an escape plan to get away from Pamela and back to Carol and the others. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang encounters a castaway, Glenn, who has been stranded on an island for years.

Carol will stop at nothing to get the perfect family photo. In the meantime, Melissa has her own mission, Lewis looks for a new hobby and Gail ends up in a scary situation.
