Oscar wins all of the money and intends to use it to play in a pool game with a guy he played with earlier. He promises to donate the winnings to the group. Thing is when he goes to play him, he discovers that the guy is great player who tricked him and he doesn't know if he can beat him.

The New Odd Couple was the second attempt to remake a series of one of Neil Simon's plays with a primarily African-American cast. The first was Barefoot in the Park.
