With the supremely powerful Silver Crystals of the past and future in Prince Demande's hands, all is close to the point of annihilation. The Sailor Guardians fight their way through to find Hotaru, who is in possession of Chibi-Usa’s Silver Crystal. They manage to defeat Kaolinite but must now face Professor Tomoe and his Daimon monsters.

Sailor Uranus, Neptune and Pluto appear before Sailor Moon and the other Guardians to reveal their true agenda. Learning what’s at stake, Sailor Moon and the others offer their help but are rejected by Uranus, causing further tensions.

Hotaru turns into Mistress 9 and takes Chibi-Usa’s Legendary Silver Crystal and her soul as well. To save Chibi-Usa’s life, the Sailor Guardians must head into Mugenzu so that they can retrieve her stolen soul and the Silver Crystal.

To end the painful journey, Sailor Moon stabs Mamoru with the holy sword before turning it on herself. The two fall to the ground, and are sucked in by Queen Metalia.

The Sailor Guardians defeat Eudial but allow the mysterious Guardian to escape. Still suspicious about Mugen Academy, the girls decide to check out the place again by attending Michiru Kaioh’s violin recital, which is being held on campus.

Appearing before a devastated Usagi is a man who looks just like Mamoru but goes by "Endo". Usagi sees traces of Mamoru and thus approaches him…

With Sailor Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter all in the hands of the Black Moon Clan, Minako suggests that she and Usagi talk to Chibi-Usa directly and get the information they need out of her on their new enemies so that they can rescue their fellow Sailor Senshi and eliminate the Black Moon once and for all. But the last of the Spectre sisters' is resolved to avenge her fallen sisters by turning all humans against the people of the White Moon.

Usagi and the girls discuss the two mysterious figures they saw, who appeared to look like Sailor Guardians. Luna and Artemis warn the girls to be careful, as they are still unsure whether these two are friend or foe.
