Mitari Yo, an office lady working at a shoe company, is not very happy about the coming of her 29-year-old birthday. On this special day her coworker Takao Jo, who is also her ex-boyfriend, informs her that he is going to get married, and that makes her become more anxious about the fact of turning 30 next year.

Yo tries to look for "a potential partner" through an app and meets a couple of guys. They are nice but none of them seems to be "the one" for her. Her friend introduces her to a jinja that is famous for good romantic luck, and she has a good time there with Ren.

Yo's mother suggests her to start a romantic relationship with Ren, but Yo says that they could only be "close friends" and it's impossible for them to become a couple. Meanwhile, after Maki's welcome party, Maki invites Ren for dinner for just the two of them.

While having dinner with Ren and Maki, Yo is irritated at seeing Maki being affectionate with Ren. In order to fight with that, she calls Yu and asks him to pick her up. Later that night, Ren can't afford Maki's aggressive approach...
