The Trend Master, IP LONG, has been the fashion icon for many celebrities and other public figures, however, during this fashion show, IP LONG announces something very important, stemming from something that happened a year ago....... The MODES magazine led by IP LONG pioneers the trend in town, and CHEUNG YAT-NING goes to have a job interview in MODES, only to find out that there is no one in the office except FAN KWOK-BONG, who completely ignores her. Waiting quietly in the typesetting room, YAT-NING feels so bored that she starts moving things around in the room without permission. IP LONG sees YAT-NING, and tells the deputy editor-in-chief SHEK WAI-SHAN not to hire her. Feeling depressed, YAT-NING asks IP LONG for an explanation, to which IP LONG replies it has something to do with her handbag.… ...

With a defamatory statement regarding IP LONG spreading like wildfire through the internet, WAI-SHAN and MEG on behalf of the company inform the media that IP LONG is going to hold a press conference. During a visit, WAI-MAN seizes the opportunity when there is no one else around to tell WAN-WAN that IP LONG is an office tyrant, suggesting that they should join forces with each other to deal with IP LONG. As soon as ZOE learns that WAN-WAN is put in charge of the advertising department, she goes to report it to YEE-SUM as she is afraid that her job will be threatened. Unexpectedly, YEE-SUM claims that her father is one of the board members, so she is confident that the change will not affect her at all, and their conversation happens to be heard by KWOK-BONG. At the meeting, WAN-WAN is of the opinion that NGA-SZE has to take full responsibility for the damage of IP LONG's image.… ...

In an effort to lionize YING ZING as the new generation design genius, IP LONG is doing everything he can to pull a few strings of his own with his media connections. When WAN-WAN requests IP LONG to devote a ten-page spread in the next issue for her client's new advertisement, IP LONG on the contrary emphasizes that those pages are reserved exclusively for YING ZING, above which he even puts KWOK-BONG in charge of the feature about YING ZING. Due to her father and his position, YEE-SUM learns that WAN-WAN is going to take advantage of the issue regarding YING ZING to accuse IP LONG in the upcoming board meeting, so she asks WAI-SHAN whether she is going to inform IP LONG about the matter. Meanwhile, YAT-NING is watching the live coverage of IP LONG, to her surprise, not only does IP LONG forgive her, but she also hears the best news ever.… ...

While going to work at MODES, YAT-NING runs into MEG who briefs her about the company's operations, adding that the editorial department and the advertising department don't get along with each other and they are like cats and dogs. YAT-NING cannot help feeling startled after learning that she works under KWOK-BONG because KWOK-BONG is known to be lazy. Paying a visit to YING ZING at the hotel, SHING-HO notices that someone visited her earlier so he immediately informs IP LONG about it. After YAT-NING relays that IP LONG requested them to submit the blueprint three days earlier, KWOK-BONG frankly discloses that he does not intend to do anything so as to get himself fired by IP LONG. WAN-WAN not only privately invites YEE-SUM to join the advertising department, but also says the same thing to ZOE.… ...

IP LONG calls MARTHA, stating that it will cost her everything if she continues to help hide YING ZING. While urging WAI-SHAN to be well prepared as there might be changes regarding the next issue cover as well as the feature, IP LONG also receives reliable information that WAI-MAN is calling for an emergency board meeting, which is clearly to seek an explanation from IP LONG for the sudden disappearance of YING ZING. WAN-WAN invites NANA for the photo shoot of a new make-up brand, without knowing that NANA turns her down as she thinks the brand is not famous enough. Upon YAT-NING's return to the office, she is surprised to see that KWOK-BONG amended her first draft. Later on, YAT-NING runs into IP LONG, so she instantly asks him whether the feature about YING ZING has been cancelled. In view of this, IP LONG brings her along to meet MARTHA.… ...

After receiving a legal letter from CREAMY, WAN-WAN has no idea how to deal with it, but WAI-MAN urges her to solve the problem within a week. While SHING-HO and the others are seeking to take advantage of the situation to kick WAN-WAN out of the company, IP LONG instead tells WAI-SHAN to go and offer her some advice. Asking KWOK-BONG for a favor, WAN-WAN hopes that he will help persuade the CEO of CREAMY, adding that she will give him the name of the reporter who secretly filmed him dating an actress. IP LONG is preparing the next magazine issue, during which in a boutique, he runs into SZE-TING, who reveals that her magazine GINA just received a new investment and proposes a merger between MODES and GINA. As for ZOE, she becomes so jealous after hearing from NGA-SZE that YAT-NING's section turns out to be very popular among the readers.… ...

SZE-TING meets up with MARTHA to discuss their new cooperation project, and she makes it clear that she will make PHOEBE the model of the next issue of GINA at all cost. After WAI-MAN tells KING-SUN that IP LONG wants to increase the budget, IP LONG shows up and suggests an alternative to increasing the budget, which is to suspend publication of one of the magazines and transfer all the resources to MODES. KING-HANG and PHOEBE are suddenly surrounded by the journalists when leaving the office; whereas IP LONG pays a visit to SAI-TUNG at the hospital, telling him about everything that happened to MODES recently. WAN-WAN hopes that IP LONG could offer his support to CREAMY and allow them to print advertisements in the MODES magazine, so as to settle the innuendo lawsuit out of court. However, IP LONG insists on boycotting CREAMY.… ...

IP LONG decides not to let any products of CREAMY appear in his magazine, so YAT-NING has to design the cover all over again. On the other hand, KWOK-BONG receives a phone call, informing him that it's MARTHA who told the reporter to film him in secret. Just as WAN-WAN is worried about the innuendo case involving CREAMY, SHING-HO hands her MR CHEUNG's business card, claiming that MR CHEUNG can help her out. GINA posts the announcement online that PHOEBE is going to be the cover girl of the next issue; whereas WAI-SHAN also notifies employees that they will not invite PHOEBE for any photo shoots anymore. Meanwhile, IP LONG blames PHOEBE for making herself an enemy of MODES, yet PHOEBE counter argues it's MODES that betrayed her trust in the first place. In an effort to find out who leaked PHOEBE's private information to the media, IP LONG asks SHING-HO and his team to probe into the matter.… ...

IP LONG fires YAT-NING without offering an explanation. When KEN intends to persuade IP LONG not to do so, KING-HANG reveals to IP LONG that YAT-NING is not the one who exposed the information, however, he refuses to give out the name. YAT-NING is very gloomy after her dismissal, suddenly, SZE-TING shows up and invites YAT-NING to join the GINA magazine. Without YAT-NING's guidance, KWOK-BONG has no idea how to process the drafts for the next magazine issue, so MEG agrees to help him, making him feel so grateful. WAN-WAN suggests resuming publishing the MODES GIRL magazine, but TSUI WAI is not sure whether he is able to convince other board members because the magazine recorded its worst-ever sales figures. In view of this, WAN-WAN promises to bring the best advertisements to MODES GIRL. Early in the morning, IP LONG out of the blue appears at YAT-NING's front door, and he looks totally calm while asking to borrow her computer.… ...

TSUI WAI calls a board meeting to let WAN-WAN explain her plan of resuming publishing the MODES GIRLS magazine. Seeing YAT-NING feel very stressed about the new magazine cover, KWOK-BONG goes to comfort her, adding that he himself is going to resume his modeling job once he finishes the next two magazine issues. While WAN-WAN is waiting for the board members' feedback, to her surprise, TSUI WAN tells her they still need one more vote even though they have already received support from the other five board members. According to TSUI WAN, IP LONG and WAI-MAN have not voted yet. After NANA learns that she is not the cover girl for MODES' next issue, she refuses to take part in any job related rehearsals by using her depression as an excuse. IP LONG suggests putting YAT-NING in charge of the cover of the next issue, whipping up resentment among YEE-SUM and ZOE.… ...

Eventually, the MODES GIRL magazine resumes publishing, so TSUI WAI proposes letting WAN-WAN take up the publisher job. IP LONG emphasizes to the board members that the employees of MODES cannot be deployed without the individual's willing consent, above which he intends to be the publisher of MODES. The fact that TINNIE declined an interview invitation for a feature article by MODES takes both YAT-NING and KWOK-BONG by surprise. SZE-TING instructs her subordinates to get her the trendiest clothes from France, and she is going to purchase the clothes herself if the parent company refuses to back her up because she is determined to defeat MODES in terms of sales volume at all cost. Meeting up with WAN-WAN, MEG reveals her intention of joining the MODES GIRL magazine, so WAN-WAN tells her to convince YAT-NING to join them as well.… ...

After the sales figures for MODES and GINA are out, NGA-SZE is of the opinion that free gifts played a vital role in attracting readers to the magazine, but WAN-WAN points out she's wrong because it's YAT-NING who affected the outcome. Also, due to this, WAN-WAN wants NGA-SZE to convince KWOK-BONG to get a job transfer. IP LONG tells WAI-SHAN to inform the Human Resources Department that he is going to promote YAT-NING. Later on, he runs into SZE-TING on the street after paying a visit to SAI-TUNG. On the other hand, WAN-WAN plays the audio recording of MARTHA for KWOK-BONG to listen to, making KWOK-BONG's resignation plan bite the dust. Promising to help KWOK-BONG, WAN-WAN wants to transfer him to the MODES GIRL magazine. In order to find out the real reason why IP LONG left his former company, SZE-TING asks her assistant to fly to the USA immediately.… ...

WAN-WAN begs IP LONG not to mention again that he saw her ex-husband YAT-HONG somewhere. She and SZE-NGA also keep trying to persuade YEE-SUM to get a job transfer, adding that she will have real power once it's done; whereas YAT-NING hopes that FONG-FONG and MEG are going to help convince KWOK-BONG not to transfer to another post, to her surprise, both of them support KWOK-BONG's decision. While looking after SAI-TUNG, SZE-TING frankly admits that she and IP LONG are now enemies. WAN-WAN secretly goes to meet YAT-HONG, who wants to have his title deed back, but WAN-WAN turns him down. Having called a special meeting, WAN-WAN not only requires the mandatory presence of all employees of the MODES magazine, but also requests them to express their opinions. As expected, KWOK-BONG transfers to another post, but WAI-SHAN's job transfer decision takes IP LONG by surprise.… ...

IP LONG refutes the allegation posed by the host, following which he urges LOK-TIN to get him some network hatchet men to stop SZE-TING from posting lies and slanderous things about him. WING-CHI goes to look for WAN-WAN, claiming that some police officers came to her office to look for her earlier. KWOK-BONG asks her what happened, so WING-CHI replies that it has something to do with WAN-WAN's husband. The fact that IP LONG is seeking to boycott GINA instead makes SZE-TING want to defeat him even more. IP LONG goes to visit SAI-TUNG only to find out that the latter was taken away by SZE-TING. Meeting up with YAT-HONG in secret, SHING-HO requests him to hand over all the evidence against WAN-WAN to him. Later at the board meeting, TSUI WAI requests IP LONG to present eyewitness testimony or other evidence so as to prove his innocence, but IP LONG fails to do so, above which he even predicts the drop in the next issue's sales.… ...

WAN-WAN asks SHING-HO how come he did not show up last night, so SHING-HO replies that he just wants WAN-WAN to owe him one. WAN-WAN meets up with MARTHA to negotiate how to dissolve the contract with KWOK-BONG, but MARTHA thinks the time is not ripe. Thinking it's MARTHA who betrayed him in the first place, KWOK-BONG does not believe MARTHA anymore. Though the editorial department keeps approaching companies to sponsor the photo shoot, none of them are willing to provide sponsorship. When MEG reminds YAT-NING and FONG-FONG there is more than one way to do the cover photo for the magazine, WAI-SHAN immediately stops them from doing so, adding that the more MODES messes up, the merrier MODES GIRL gets. SZE-TING assembles all the employees of the design department and urges them to come up with the next magazine issue cover that is similar to MODES within 24 hours.… ...

KWOK-BONG hands the feature article to WAN-WAN, but WAN-WAN is not satisfied with it, on the contrary, she advises KWOK-BONG to portray himself as a victim. On top of that, WAN-WAN even tells KWOK-BONG to film the press conference held by SAI-TUNG. Meeting up with YEE-SUM, TSUI WAI and WAI-MAN disclose that on the press conference held by SAI-TUNG, they are going to make known publicly a letter that IP LONG sent via email to SAI-TUNG five years ago, and the letter alone is enough to prove that IP LONG is lying. Also, TSUI WAI reveals that he is going to call an urgent board meeting right after the press conference to fire IP LONG and promote YEE-SUM to the editor-in-chief. Though SAI-TUNG plans to cancel the press conference, SZE-TING opposes SAI-TUNG's decision as she is of the opinion that IP LONG can only be saved after he loses everything.… ...

The interview with KWOK-BONG is suddenly called off, so KWOK-BONG goes to ask WAN-WAN for an explanation. It turns out that the video surveillance system at the parking lot recorded everything including how KWOK-BONG deliberately drove his car to hit NANA's car, and NANA now plans to sue him. According to WAN-WAN, once the video is made public, all KWOK-BONG's efforts to mend his mistakes will end in vain, and things will only get worse for him. KING-SUN and the others call IP LONG to meet them urgently and reveal that the company of MODES GIRL has a problem, adding that the magazine will cease publication immediately because management does not want to waste resources. Also, KING-SUN intends to merge the employees of MODES GIRL to MODES, to which IP LONG has no objection. Meanwhile, SHING-HO and the others inform IP LONG that the GINA magazine is going to stop publishing, making IP LONG feel very strange after learning both magazines are to cease publication. WAN-WAN goes to inquire WAI-MAN about MODES GIRL ceasing publication, so WAI-MAN replies it's IP LONG who intentionally made slanderous comments about MODES GIRL in front of KING-SUN. Suddenly, SZE-TING shows up at MODES, and right away she gives them a compliment, however, none of them including IP LONG know what she is up to. On the other hand, KING-SUN knows perfectly well her real intention.… ...

Calling an urgent meeting with the staff of the editorial department, IP LONG seizes the opportunity to give his last order which is to reallocate the manpower before the termination of his employment contract. At that moment, JAMES gets informed that the board of directors decided to terminate IP LONG's employment contract earlier and he is asked to leave the company within one hour. While WAN-WAN is signing a contract with her client, she suddenly receives the information that IP LONG's contract is terminated, however, not wanting to let her client know the matter, she stays calm and pretends nothing happened. SZE-TING runs into YAT-NING and the others at the lobby of the MODES magazine and it turns out that they seek to pressure KING-SUN by tending their resignations all together at the same time. Appreciating their persistence, SZE-TING decides to reopen the negotiation of the buyout.… ...

SZE-TING tells IP LONG that MODES will still end up under the control of GINA even though it is sold to his former company, adding that she will not only take the reins of MODES, but also become the new generation of the Trend Master. Claiming that both magazines will be able to operate independently, SZE-TING compels IP LONG to pronounce her his successor because she is seeking to take advantage of this title to do some illegal business. After KING-SUN announces that MODES has become the subsidiary of GINA with routine operation remaining unchanged, YAT-NING asks IP LONG for his opinion on the takeover, to which IP LONG replies he totally agrees with the whole deal. Having heard this, all of them feel very disheartened. YAT-NING cannot help thinking that IP LONG has changed; whereas WAI-SHAN decides to tender her resignation, which is accepted by IP LONG.… ...
