After overhearing Samuel tell the kids a scary story about Whiffy the Skunk Ghost, Clifford and T-bone get a bit spooked. Cleo takes the opportunity to play a series of naughty tricks on them, but then finds them not believing her when she really needs them! She learns that it isn't nice to play tricks on people.

Clifford jumps into a pile of leaves that T-Bone has raked, and when they scatter he has a lesson to learn; Charley finally finds a sport he can't master, “jiggly juggle,” but he decides to work at it anyway.

It's Silly Sports Day at school and everyone is looking forward to seeing Charley master yet another athletic feat, but Charley is having a messy time trying to learn how to "Jiggly Juggle"! Charley wants to throw in the towel, but he learns that you don't have to be the very best at something to enjoy doing it!

The dogs go to school for the first time, and T-Bone worries that he won't be able to keep up; the library sponsors an essay contest called “Islander of the Year.” Guess who it is?

The library sponsors an essay contest for Islander of the Year and the children all submit their ideas. But somehow, as they tell their tales, Clifford keeps turning up – and is ultimately chosen as the winner! The kids learn that sometimes a real hero is the one you least expect.

T-Bone's not looking forward to the town celebration because he's afraid of loud noises; nobody will play with Clifford because they're too busy planning a surprise party for him.

Clifford and Cleo are all excited about the town's upcoming celebration complete with a parade and fireworks! But they notice that T-bone isn't quite is enthusiastic and soon learn that he is scared of the loud noises of all the festivities. T-bone learns that the support of good friends can help you manage feelings of fear.

Thinking that it'll make him more appealing to Sheriff Lewis, T-bone decides to "toughen up." T-bone eventually learns that it's much nicer to be nice than to be tough -- and everyone loves him just the way he is.

Charley gets a new telescope and offers to bring it to Emily Elizabeth's "space" theme party. When Jetta mentions that the telescope might get damaged at the party, Charley changes his mind. Thinking that his friends won't want him at the party without his telescope, he decides to stay home. In the end, Charley realizes that his friends like him for who he is rather than what he has.

Mac starts an “exclusive” club (he wants to exclude T-Bone); Mr. Bleekman wants to exclude dogs from the park, but he finds that he misses them when they're gone.

It's a beautiful day at the park, the birds are singing, the sun is shining, and the dogs are playing – much to Mr. Bleakman's annoyance! Mr. Bleakman manages to make the park "off limits" to dogs only to discover that he misses them when they're gone.

Cleo is voted Fluffiest Dog of Birdwell Island and can't stop bragging about it; Jetta tells Vaz that he's bad at soccer, which prompts him to stop playing.

After Jetta tells Vaz that his poor soccer skills are holding back their team, Vaz tries to sit out the rest of the game. In the end, both Jetta and Vaz learn that being part of a team is more important than winning games.

Emily and Charley are having a hard time deciding what kind of float to make for the annual Birdwell Parade. But, with a little help from Clifford, they learn the importance of compromise in making everyone happy.

Cleo has a hard time giving up her role as "leader" in a game of Follow The Leader, but soon learns that playing with friends is more fun when everyone cooperates and takes turns with one another.

Clifford and Cleo think that T-Bone is moving; the dogs are upset with the arrival of cats, but then they learn that different isn't necessarily bad.

When two cats "move in" to the tree next door to T-bone, the dogs try to everything to get rid of them, but they soon discover that they have no real reason not to like the cats. The dogs learn that, just because individuals are different, it doesn't mean they can't be friends.

Clifford misses Emily when she goes on a trip, so his friends try to make up for it; Charley wants to lead a chore-free dog's life.

Fed up with his 'responsibilities,' Charley decides he would like to lead a dog's life -- no chores, no school, no problems. But a hilarious dream teaches him that he likes being just who he is.

T-Bone falls in love. Meanwhile, Clifford tries to make the perfect Valentine for Emily.

Clifford works hard to try to make Emily the perfect Valentine to show her how much he loves her. In the end, he learns it's his presence, not presents, that means the most to Emily Elizabeth.

Cleo is jealous of her owner's sister's dog, Susie. Also: it's role-reversal time: Clifford, Cleo and T-Bone take care of a pet.

When Emily brings home the class bunny, Clifford, Cleo and T-bone learn what a big responsibility it is to take care of a pet!

T-Bone gets a new sweater but learns that “Clothes Don't Make the Dog”; Emily thinks Clifford is neglecting her.

When family friend Skyscraper Jackson comes to visit, Emily worries that Clifford prefers the attentions of a super-tall basketball player to the attentions of a short little girl. But Emily soon learns that love comes in all sizes.

T-Bone eats Cleo's new dog food then lies about it; Charley and Emily have an ice-cream party when Charley's father is away.

Charley and Emily Elizabeth find themselves up to their elbows in ice cream when Charley takes it upon himself to serve ice cream while his father is at a Doctor's appointment. Charley learns that there are some responsibilities kids should not attempt to shoulder without the help of an adult.

In a heartwarming flashback story, we learn how Clifford's enormous size frightened T-bone when they met for the first time. T-bone learns that "you can't judge a book by it's cover" – and friends come in all shapes and sizes.

Emily Elizabeth comes down with a bad cold and Clifford and friends want to help her feel better. Using their imaginations, creativity, and the resources around them, they create a card, collect flowers and fashion a small gift. When they present their offerings to Emily Elizabeth, it is obvious they have succeeded in making her feel cared for and loved. The dogs learn that it's the thought behind a gift that matters most.

Mr. Bleakman is ready for a quiet relaxing weekend of oil painting. But a monkey wrench is thrown in the works when he is asked to babysit Clifford for the day. Mr. Bleakman struggles to find a way to keep Clifford out of his way, but soon discovers that the big, red dog has much to teach him about being spontaneous and having fun!

When T-bone's "special Saturday time" with Sheriff Lewis doesn't turn out the way he expected one week, he goes on a quest to see how others spend their Saturdays. He learns that there are many different ways to spend time with the people you love.

Everyone gets to put their hand prints in the cement, but Clifford's is just too big.

Dr. Dihn's new puppy Bob is proving to be a real menace, and Clifford has been taking the blame.

While her house is being painted, Cleo stays with Clifford---and takes over; the dogs try to get grumpy Mr. Bleakman to brighten up, and find that their good deeds make them feel good, too.

Mr. Bleakman appears to the dogs to be particularly grumpy one day. At first they are upset with him, but then they overhear Mrs. Howard say that sometimes a grumpy attitude can be changed through acts of kindness. This inspires the dogs to perform a series of "secret good deeds" to see if they can turn Mr. Bleakman's frown into a smile. They are surprised to learn that performing kind acts makes them feel much better too!

Clifford and the other dogs pitch in with the “Keep Birdwell Island Beautiful” effort by planting a flower garden. Except for Cleo. She wants to plant a dog-toy garden for herself. Then the dogs find the long-buried trunk of the island's discoverer, Captain Birdwell. But Jetta is given credit for the find. Will she tell the truth? Voice of Clifford: John Ritter.

Clifford and his dog friends find the long-lost trunk of Captain Birdwell, filled with wonderful items brought to the Island by the explorer long ago. But through a misunderstanding, Jetta is given credit for the discovery. She knows that telling the truth is the right thing to do, but she can't resist the promise of a gold medal award. It doesn't take long for her to realize, however, that awards don't give much pleasure when they're not deserved.

In a flashback sequence, the Howards arrive on Birdwell Island, and their new neighbors join in welcoming a very big newcomer. Then Jetta breaks a beach date with Emily Elizabeth because she has received a “better offer” from an older girl.

Jetta and Emily Elizabeth make plans to spend Saturday at the beach together, but Jetta breaks the play date when a "better offer" from an older girl comes along. However, when the older girl calls and cancels on Jetta, Jetta finally understands how Emily Elizabeth must have felt. She now realizes that being a good friend means keeping a promise.

Clifford gets a really big case of the hiccups and his friends have a big job helping him get rid of them; Jetta throws a movie party, but all she shows are home movies of herself.

When Jetta throws a "movie-watching" party, she expects everyone to do things her way – which in this case means watching home-movies of herself. The other kids try their best, but are soon bored and take a vote to go outside and make their own movie with Vaz's movie camera. Jetta is encouraged to join them, but stubbornly refuses. But she soon learns that it's more fun to play when everyone has a voice in deciding what to do together.

Clifford cleans out his doghouse but can't throw things away because each item holds a memory. Also, Jetta has a new baby brother, but that means that she no longer gets all the attention.

Jetta gets a new baby brother and at first is extremely proud to be a big sister. But when she realizes this means she will now have to share the spotlight with the baby, she goes all out to get back her position as the "center of attention." She eventually learns, however, that being a good "big sister" is far more rewarding than being the "star of the show."

Jetta's envious of Emily Elizabeth because everybody loves her pet, Clifford. So she makes up a pet of her own. Then Cleo helps Vaz with his paper route. She likes helping him and she likes the treats she gets as a reward. In fact, she mostly likes the treats.

Vaz is new at being a paperboy and is struggling with getting the papers onto people's doorsteps. Cleo steps in and discovers that she can earn treats by helping out! She recruits Clifford and T-bone and together they enjoy helping Vaz out – and getting treats. But before long Cleo has forgotten about the "helping out" part and is only concerned with getting treats. Clifford and T-bone help her rediscover that helping for its own sake is its own reward.

Clifford and Emily Elizabeth try to get Mr. Bleakman (voice of Earl Boen), a notorious party pooper, to attend the Howards' party; Emily Elizabeth writes a poem for her mother's birthday, but Jetta thinks it's not a good gift.

Emily Elizabeth believes she has the perfect gift for her mother's birthday. She plans to spend the entire afternoon with her mother and the reading of a poem written just for her mom. Charley agrees that the gift is perfect, but Jetta has other ideas. Emily Elizabeth agrees to at least try some of Jetta's ideas. But in the end she realizes that the gift she created from her heart really is the best gift.

K.C. returns for a visit and Cleo's so excited that she forgets her other friends. Also, rain threatens the back-to-school barbecue and Mac is so disappointed that his friends try to stop the rain.

Mac is particularly disappointed when rainy weather threatens to ruin the upcoming Back-To-School Barbecue held every year at Jetta's house. The other dogs, seeing his disappointment, vow to find a way to stop the rain from falling. It doesn't take long for them to realize that you can't change the weather. But Mac's disappointment is replaced with delight that his friends would go to such lengths to try and help him.

It's Topsy Turvy Day, so Jetta and Emily “trade” dogs. Then Clifford is told to polish his manners for Mrs. Bleakman's book-club party. Voice of Mrs. Bleakman: Edie McClurg.

Mrs. Bleakman is having a very special party for her book club members and Cleo and Mac convince Clifford that his regular good manners won't be good enough for the event. Clifford believes he is just fine the way he is, but Cleo and Mac insist on teaching him some special "fancy" manners. In the end, Clifford decides to just be himself – and ends up saving the party by providing shade for Mrs. Bleakman's guests.

Clifford forgets a play date with Cleo, who accuses him of abusing her friendship; Cleo teases T-bone because he's smitten with a visiting dog named Mimi.

T-Bone really likes Mimi, the little brown poodle that visits the Island on occasion. T-Bone is very excited to hear she's coming back again! But when Cleo starts teasing him about how much he likes Mimi, T-Bone feels embarrassed and uncomfortable. He finally confronts Cleo about it and Cleo learns that teasing can be anything that makes someone feel uncomfortable.

Cleo borrows Clifford's favorite blanket and carelessly gets it dirty; the dogs dig for dinosaur bones as part of a friend's college project.

Vaz's big sister Teresa is home from college and ready to dig for dinosaur bones & fossils on Birdwell Island! Who more perfect to help her dig than Clifford and his dog friends? Everybody has great luck digging up fossils that will complete a dinosaur skeleton that Teresa is piecing together – everybody but T-Bone that is. But by believing in himself, T-Bone ultimately comes up with one of the most important bones needed to complete the job.
