The Top 12 head to Las Vegas for a team challenge in which they serve 50 VIPs in entertainment and hospitality at Caesars Palace for its 50th Anniversary party. Each guest will taste both teams' dishes and then cast a vote for their favorite dish.

Then, the remaining five receive a heart-warming mystery box challenge in which contestants will create a dish inspired by their loved-one.

Tonight's challenge is all about mastering one of the toughest desserts in the world - the beloved macaron. Not just a dozen macarons, but a giant tower of perfectly formed delicacies.

The chefs take on another field challenge as they are tasked with cooking a hearty lunch for over 100 workers.

The cooks face a series of pressure-filled skills tests using beef; the two weakest contestants go head-to-head.

The top 19 chefs will have to prepare and cook fresh fish for 101 lifeguards who will then vote on their favorite dish.

The Contestants must cater to the average sports fan while incorporating elements from their region to elevate their dish.

The top 10 contestants test their speed in a special team challenge at the Irwindale Speedway, where they have 75 minutes to cook for 101 race car crew members.

Round 2 begins with the amateur chefs trying to impress the judges with their signature dishes. Contestants compete for a chance to win the MasterChef apron which guarantees them a spot in the next round.

After the Battle for the Apron concludes, the Top 22 home cooks in America will face their first Mystery Box Challenge. Each contestant is given 20 staple ingredients that anyone could find in their home and tasked with preparing a dish for the judges -- were the judges to show up at their homes for dinner. The winner of the Mystery Box Challenge will receive a significant advantage in the season's first pressure test, during which contestants must make their versions of an apple pie.

The Top 20 must quickly demonstrate their culinary expertise before they encounter their first mystery box challenge, where they must create a Ramsay-inspired dish, but only 18 home cooks can progress further in the competition.

The next mystery box challenge has the home cooks come out of their shells and prepare unique crab dishes for the judges. The home cook who prepares the best crab dish will receive a significant advantage before the next elimination challenge. Then the remaining home cooks will create their versions of sweet or savory dishes, using the same surprise ingredient of corn.
