The Dance Moms stage a silent protest and walk out on Abby, prompting Abby to quickly assemble a totally new dance team for this weekend's competition. The Dance Moms try to make it out on their own and book a performance for their kids. Meanwhile, a Dance Mom from Abby's past vows to have revenge.

The dance competition season is off to a rocky start when a key team member disappears.

The ALDC girls move forward after a rocky journey to Los Angeles; Cathy returns with a surprise choreographer; Abby invites Ashlee and her daughter Brynn to come dance at the ALDC and quickly praises Brynn as "the next Maddie."

Tensions are high when Abby swaps Chloe and Christi for the Select Team's Jade and Loree in the third head-to-head battle between the Elite and Select teams in Washington, D.C. Both teams are anxious to impress Abby when she announces that Nationals are just five weeks away. Jeanette and Ava are thrilled to compete in a solo against Maddie until it becomes obvious that the odds are stacked against them.

Maddie has returned from shooting her movie and is back on the team for good, but to everyone's surprise, Abby doesn't seem happy to see her #1 dancer. The moms question if Abby is jealous of Maddie's fame and Ashlee uses this to her advantage in hopes that Abby will spend more time grooming Brynn to be the next big star.

The real moms are back and the replacements are out, with the exception of one, Sophia Lucia.

Melissa tries desperately to get Maddie back in favor with Abby. Meanwhile, Mackenzie struggles with her new "big girl" role. Also, this week, the ALDC dancers go up against the very same girls who replaced them during the moms' silent protest.

The moms push Abby for more dance classes after losing two competitions in a row. When Abby refuses to take responsibility for the girls' lack of training, Kira takes matters into her own hands and brings in outside help, which infuriates Abby. Meanwhile, Abby pressures Maddie to regain her standing as ALDC's top dancer.

After a season jam-packed with mama drama, Jai Rodriquez sits down with the entire cast of "Dance Moms" to right the wrongs and finally set the record straight; the new elite team performs some of their award-winning dances from the season.

The mothers are shocked to learn that Abby is forming a new team; news breaks that Abby could be facing jail time; when Mackenzie receives the brunt of Abby's rage, Melissa vows not to play nice anymore.

Abby indefinitely suspends Christi and Chloe, which keeps Chloe from competing against Cathy's new all-boy team "The Apple Cores." Nia and Holly must deal with a painful medical condition from their past. In the meantime, Abby's favorite new dancer Sophia returns.

The Abby Lee Dance Company is on the edge after learning that a big Broadway casting director will attend their annual showcase, an exhibition in which she shows off her accomplished dancers. Abby's desire to push the girls to the max could have catastrophic effects if they don't do their best.

This week is the ALDC recital. . The girls learn a new group dance entitled "Sugar Babies". Abby also throws in a photo shoot for Dance Track magazine. Paige gets assigned to new solo, while all the other girls get an old solo. Paige admits to Abby she doesn't want a new solo.

Holly worries about Nia's featured role in the group dance; Abby's second open call audition has the mothers on edge; Melissa defends her choice to home school Maddie and MacKenzie.

After competing all season, it all boils down to the National Title Competition. Abby's dancers have been on a losing streak and this is their last chance to prove they can win. Meanwhile, Melissa leaves the competition early to go on vacation. Her ex-husband, Kurt, steps in as a "Dance Dad", sending Melissa into a panic.

The dance company heads for the steamy climes of South Beach; the mothers scramble when Paige's foot surgery creates an open position.

The dance company is on edge after learning that a scout will be attending the upcoming competition; Abby pits the girls against each other by creating two trios; Nia pushes herself too hard.

Abby attempts to unify the two teams by assigning the elites and minis as duet partners; the elites are forced to choreograph their own group dance as Abby continues to favor the minis.
