After leaving home, Moesha turns to Andell for the night. Although she promises Andell she'll go back home the next day, she surprises Andell by staying at The Den the following day. Upset that Moesha lied to her, Andell forces Moesha to talk to Frank, but nothings changed between them. Back at Andell's Moesha becomes a bother to Andell and her new beau, Uncle Bernie.

Morgan throws a co-ed slumber party and Moesha invites Kim, Hakeem and Niecy. At the party, they find out that the boys sleepover, too. Also, Niecy finds the courage to talk to Marco and Mary Ellen tries desperately to get into the party. After seeing Jeremy dancing with various females, Moesha finally decides to talk to him. Meanwhile, Frank and Dee have a romantic evening at home, but they're interrupted by the news that there are boys at the slumber party. After seeing Moesha walking downstairs and holding hands with Jeremy, Frank scolds Moesha; resulting in Moesha moving out.

Moesha, Hakeem and Niecy go across town for a graduation day brunch where Moesha's car breaks down an hour before the big event. After finding many solutions to finding a way to their graduation, Moesha, Hakeem and Niecy finally make it across the stage. But Moesha's post-graduation plans change when she gets a job offer with VIBE magazine.

Moesha turns 18 and the gang decides to throw her a surprise birthday party but Kim spoils it by telling her. But the real surprise for Moesha is when all her former boyfriends, Ohagi, Q, Jeremy and Aaron, all stop by to show how they all want her back. But Moesha doesn't want to start over with any of them- except for her former teacher, Channing. After realizing that a relationship between them wouldn't work, Moesha and Channing both decide to just remain friends.

Musical guest: Silk Only hours before her senior prom, Moesha gets a call from her date's mother explaining that her son had an injury and will not be able to accompany Mo to the prom. But because she has waited so long for this event, Moesha decides to go alone. Although Kim, Niecy and Hakeem have dates, their prom experiences are far from perfect. Kim's date, Andre, spends more time worrying about his hair than Kim. Hakeem's date uses him as a cover so she can meet with her boyfriend. And Niecy's date, Antonio, chose a dress for her that's so tight that she can't move. After dancing with her father, Moesha meets a handsome mystery man wh asks her to dance. When his beeper goes off at midnight, he thanks her for a wonderful night and dashes away, leaving only a button behind with his initials on it. Musical guest: Johnny Gill After Andell thinks her relationship with Bernie is headed nowhere, Earl Thomas, Andell's college boyfriend, returns to rekindle the flame by proposing to her. Meanwhile, Frank overreacts to Dee's urge to keep a picture of a young man from her past.

Kim's mother, Nikki, is re-starting a journey she began 18 years ago. With Dee's help, she will be completing her high school diploma. To her chagrin, the only requirement is to finish a history class, taught by the same teacher who flunked her years ago. Mr. Fullmore is probably the most boring teacher at Crenshaw High. He calls on Nikki to answer a question when he sees that she's asleep in class. She answers the question correctly. But when she stands up for Hakeem after Mr. Fullmore insults him, he makes her take a pop quiz for the class in which every student will receive the grade she scores. She gets an ""A."" Nikki surprises Kim when she tells her that she will be going to Santa Monica College with her. Kim feels like her mother is intruding on her world. After registration, Nikki and Kim attend a party. Kim is embarrassed, even though all the kids think she's lucky to have a cool mother. Nikki confesses to Kim that the only reason she has courage to follow through with her dream

Moesha is envious of a gifted, yet reclusive, classmate who is named valedictorian but she also learns that he's homeless and cleans tables in the school's cafeteria. Meanwhile, Frank thinks Myles is ready for the ""talk.""

Moesha's singing dilemma is illustrated in a 1950s-style sitcom episode, a la ""I Love Lucy,"" about an audition for a Broadway revue.

Moesha and her friends participate in The Ladies of Eminence Debutante Ball, but Moesha has second thoughts because she's not interested in ""high-class society."" But she changes her mind when she learns that her former classmate Mary Ellen Hobbs is banned from the affair after getting pregnant.

Musical guest: LeAnn Rimes Moesha and Kim have a fight over Kim's unprepared college plans. Later, MTV's ""FANatic"" picks Moesha to escort Kim to meet country singer LeAnn Rimes. LeAnn Rimes gives Kim and Moesha some good advice on how to remain good friends. Meanwhile, Hakeem accidentally sees Dee naked.

During Black History Month, Moesha and students divide along racial lines after a protest over the lack of black representation in Antonio's mural of Mexican-American migrant workers. Meanwhile, Myles tries to win a new bike in a contest.

Hakeem takes a job instead of pursuing college.

Andell holds a tutoring program at The Den, and Moesha decides to write an article about the tutoring sessions in hopes of winning a newspaper's journalism contest. One of Myles' friends named Justin reveals a story that he has trouble reading (only so he can be around Moesha). So, Moesha decides to write a story on Justin's illiteracy but she forgets one important thing-- she didn't check the facts after Justin lied about not being able to read. Meanwhile, Frank goes on a diet after he becomes slightly overweight.

Moesha and Hakeem are bummed to learn that Eddie have them working on Christmas Eve. She tries to find a good excuse so that she can finish her last-minute shopping. An elder man visits the store to apply for a job, but Eddie tells him that they haven't hired anyone new in awhile. Later, the unemployed man is now dressed as Santa Claus and holds the entire store hostage.

Now that they're a couple again, Moesha tries to discover what true love is all about. Niecy reveals that she's the first out of the group to have sex; prompting a curious Moesha with various questions about love and sex. Moesha and Kim visit the health clinic where Moesha prescribes for birth control pills. Later, Dee finds the pills in Moesha's purse; leading to a serious conversation about sex. Dee promises Moesha that she won't tell Frank about the pills. Moesha meets Aaron but her anticipation for a romantic evening turn into a nightmare when she learns that he has had many sexual partners. Upset, Moesha walks out of his life for good.

Musical guest: Big Pun Moesha and her friends visit Charisse, Moesha's cousin, at Maynard University during Prospective Freshman Weekend. While there, they tour the entire campus and meet new friends (Iris and Mervin) as well as Moesha's ex-boyfriend Aaron. Old sparks flame again for Moesha and Aaron, but she becomes more interested in Mervin. Later, Mervin slips Moesha a drug in her drink, but Aaron comes to her rescue. Meanwhile, Myles has a slumber party.

Moesha, Kim and Hakeem think a bully named Devon Stamps, from their third grade class, is stalking them, due to a practical joke that turned ugly.

A new teacher starts work at Crenshaw High, and Moesha makes a bold move and kisses him. Worrying about the consequences involved between teacher-student relationships, Channing decides to leave Crenshaw High for good.

Dee convinces the family to join Myles in a family therapy session, but Moesha decides to ditch the session to hang out with her friends. Frank reschedules the session so that everyone can attend and everyone begins to open up and express their feelings towards one another.

When Frank and Dee find a marijuana cigarette in the house, all suspicion leads to Moesha. After wrongfully accusing Moesha, they are all shocked to learn that the joint belonged to Myles.

Without Moesha around, Myles begins to miss his sister. Moesha helps her friends with their Homecoming preparations. Grandma Mitchell visits the family and stirs up a heated conversation over Moesha and Frank's disagreements. Myles tries to make an attempt to keep the family together (reminiscent to the 1997 movie Soul Food). After all the hostility dies down, Frank tells Moesha that he wants her to return home.

Five months later, and Moesha still hasn't returned home. After Kim forgets to purchase tickets to a sold-out concert featuring R&B singer Brandy, Moesha decides to spend her weekend alone with her new beau, Aaron, a college student whom she met over the summer. But when Moesha starts to push the relationship further (mainly due to her strange suggestions), the two break up. Later, Moesha, Kim, Niecy and Hakeem attempt to get into the concert. Backstage, Moesha meets Brandy who gives her some advice.

While playing a friendly game of Truth or Dare, Kim and Niecy dare an innocent Moesha to get a tattoo. She reluctantly agrees to the dare only if Kim and Niecy go with her. After learning that Kim really didn't get her nose pierced and Niecy didn't get anything at all, a new branded Moesha must now face her father. Trying to stay cool and calm, Frank goes along with Dee's plans of letting Moesha grow up, but he accidentally tells Moesha his opinion of her. Meanwhile, Hakeem takes a second job at The Den, but he unknowingly mixes Andell's imported colon cleanser mix into the smoothies and serves them to customers.

Moesha and her friends all decide to take a road trip to Sea World, but their trip ends abruptly after Chris causes them to get kicked out of the amusement park. So they all decide to travel to Mexico instead of going home. While in Mexico, the gang enjoys themselves until Moesha looses Morgan's car keys and Moesha is faced with the decision to call her parents. Meanwhile, J.W. and Andell are invited over to dinner, by Dee, to celebrate their anniversary of their first date; much to Frank's chagrin.

Moesha starts paying for her own telephone, cable and new furniture and Frank is happy that he doesn't have to pay for it, but Dee doesn't like what she sees.

In need of money, Hakeem gets Moesha a job at the clothing store where he works. But the new manager begins to take advantage of Moesha.

Prominent career newswoman Alexandria Nourse gives a speech at Bridgewood and as an old friend of Frank's- Moesha invites her over for dinner. But it turns out that they were more than just ""friends.""

Mary Ellen, editor of Bridgewood's school newspaper, doesn't give Moesha a chance to write for the paper. So without much ado, Moesha installs a rival paper called ""The Blurb."" But she gets so wrapped up in writing her paper that she neglects plans to celebrate Andell's 30th birthday party.

Musical guest: Chico DeBarge Moesha agrees to attend a dance, held at The Den, with her friend David (who's rather a little person). Moesha soon finds out that she isn't bothered by his height, but by his rudeness. Meanwhile, Myles has issues about his height.

Dee's enterprising brother, Shelby, visits and offers Moesha a money-earning opportunity, but Dee questions his future success.

Kim accidentally hears Moesha and Niecy making fun of her weight. Upset, Kim gives them the cold shoulder when they all are supposed to dress as the ""Divas of Soul"" for the Halloween party at The Den. As Moesha and Niecy attempt to apologize to Kim, they all find themselves victims of gossiping behind each other's backs. Meanwhile, Myles catches the flu, forcing him to stay home and cancel ""trick-or-treating.""

Hakeem meets a beautiful woman, Jennifer Sutton, at the clothing store where he works. But when she starts to show an interest in Hakeem, he lies about his age. Moesha and Dee both don't approve of Hakeem's relationship with Jennifer but Frank assures them that nothing's wrong with them dating. Later, after feeling guilty, Hakeem breaks up with Jennifer.

Moesha begins her first day of school at Bridgewood Academy. She is introduced to snobby Mary Ellen Hobbs, the daughter of a friend of Dee's. The following day, during a class discussion, Moesha walks out of class after clashing with Mary Ellen. She visits Crenshaw and finds out that she isn't very missed.

Grandpa Roosevelt Mitchell visits along with Uncle Bernie. But Frank soon suffers when Grandpa treats him different than Bernie. Moesha tries to talk Q into attending her family's barbecue, but he declines.

Moesha spots Q with another woman at the concert.

Moesha's on-again off-again romance with Q is on again--since she won tickets to a hot concert.

Moesha can't stand the nasty and rude habits of her suite mates Niecy, Alicia and Brenda. So she tries to organize a meeting to establish ""the rules,"" but a nearby appearance by the singing group Boyz II Men hurts attendance. Meanwhile, Dee returns home from Jamaica but has to break the news to the family that she's decided to stay in Jamaica full-time to work on her education-consulting job.

The girlfriend of Dorian's prison buddy is trying get a piece of his band's profits. Meanwhile, Hakeem asks Moesha to move in with him for the summer, throwing a wrench into her and Niecy's plans of living together.

Moesha works off a punishment by helping an elderly woman, who wins her over with tales of the Harlem Renaissance.

A TV-ad director looking to make a star steps into the dance class Moesha is teaching--and spies Myles.

Frank gets a call from his odd-ball aunt Hattie, announcing that she is in town and would like to visit the family. While Hakeem drops by to announce that he's been accepted to California University, Moesha tells the family that she will be moving because a dorm on campus has become available. Aunt Hattie surprisingly stops by that evening. After not seeing the family for years, she mistakes Dorian for Myles. Moesha clears up the mistaken identity. Aunt Hattie then congratulates Frank on finally bringing his son home. Her faux pas sends shock waves through the room since Frank has kept a lid on his secret all of Dorian's life. Frank has no choice but to explain that he and Marguerite were having some problems. He had an affair that resulted in Dorian's birth. His sister, Sandy, agreed to adopt Dorian. Moesha answers a phone call who happens to be Dr. Maya Angelou and decides to seize the moment to set up an interview with Dr. Maya Angelou as writer at the magazine. Moesha convinces Niecy to pretend to be her secretary. She then interviews Dr. Angelou in Joe's office. Dr. Angelou clues in on the fact that Moesha is hungry for recognition. Moesha confesses that she has decided to bypass college so she can work on her writing career. Dr. Angelou gives her a profound reason to reconsider college. Later, Joe praises Moesha on her writing, but apologizes that he will have to fire her for misrepresenting herself as staff writer. Moesha later tells her family that she has decided to go to college.

While trying to keep up with the social life of college as well as the academic life, Moesha and Niecy are invited to their first college party. After getting heavily drunk, Moesha's faced with having to call Frank to pick her up. But Dorian comes to the girls' rescue by secretly taking Frank's car. Meanwhile, Myles, influenced by Dorian to change his image, dyes his hair and wears baggy garment to impress his classmates during his first week of junior high.
