Alex and his partner Anna are waiting their first child and will be moving into Alex's old childhood home in Saltsjöbaden. But it is not long before they encounter problems in the form of Alex's mother, Margareta, who has difficulty releasing her old home. Alex gets good advice on how important it is with the view of his neighbor and childhood friend Fredde.

Alex suspects that Anna has been cheating with the actor Ola Rapace and that he can be the father of the child. Fredde gets the craze for grilling which goes so far that Mickan invites him to seek help for his abuse.

Alex and Anna have been told the sex of their child and have great problems with agreeing names. The case doesn't get any easier when Margaretha settles in. Fredde thinks he can change diapers more often than Mickan. An old childhood friend of Alex appears and wants to resume contact, something Alex does not want.

Alex and Fredde try to outdo each other in culinary experiences, which ends with Alex's ambitions exceeding both his own and the cabinet's capacity. Anna goes with Mickan to the gym but has trouble keeping up with the other girls' jargon.

Anna gets anxiety when she wants to buy a pram, do you have to have the latest model to be a good parent? Fredde worries that he loses hair and tries to hide it with various headgear. Ove's attempt to make contact makes Alex lose his patience, something he may regret when he discovers that Ove is in the golf club's board.

Alex begins to think about aging and his attractiveness. Fredde reveals the convergence theory to him, it is about everyone being as good looking with the years. A theory Alex decides to test. The girl should arrange a party for Victor and do everything possible to exceed Lussan's children's party.

Alex and Anna start to get tired of their superficial friendship that only speaks of material things. But when they spend an evening with some new friends, they realize that intellectual snobbism can be just as hard to listen to. Fredde gets problems with the tax authorities but finds a way to solve it. The girl suffers from stress symptoms that she tries to turn to her advantage.

Fredde becomes jealous of Mickan's friendship with a fatherless Italian and decides to give up again. But his plan goes off when it turns out that Mickan is not the jealous type. Anna's bohemian brother Palle comes to visit, which ends with Alex once again getting caught in the interests of different parties.

Midsummer Eve approaches and Fredde and Alex plan to celebrate with their families and friends in the archipelago. To Alex, the charmer Palle manages to be invited and, to top it all, even the poor-Ove has nailed an invitation. Hardly you have sung the first nub of the show before the left and intrigue are running.

In the last part of Solsidan, it is finally time for Alex and Anna to become parents. Alex does his utmost to help in the hospital but quickly realizes that Anna's requirements and needs are not so easy to satisfy.
