Pete finds Charlotte bloodied and bruised in the halls of the hospital, but only Addison learns the full extent of her injuries.

When Pete discovers Violet clinging to live following a violent attack from a patient, he rushes her to the hospital where Addison and Naomi work together to save her life. Meanwhile, the location of Violet's baby are still unknown.

When Archer has a severe seizure, Addison and Naomi use every resource possible to determine the cause and a cure; Violet tells Pete and Sheldon that she is pregnant; Cooper cares for an abandoned patient.

Maya and her unborn baby are fighting for their lives on the operating table, and Addison, Amelia and Fife try everything humanly possible to save them. Meanwhile, Sam operates on an incoming crash victim and later makes a grim discovery; Cooper makes an ill-timed but valiant effort with Charlotte, and the staff's world gets rocked by an unexpected death.

Addison and Sam go for a hike in Malibu, they come across an expecting couple trapped in their car after an accident, they then perform urgent field care. Charlotte, Cooper and Violet treat a newlywed who, on his wedding night has taken too much Viagra. Pete and Sheldon go out to a bar together and end up falling for the same girl.

During a dark moment in his life, Sheldon finds happiness with a new woman. Meanwhile, he becomes increasingly suspicious about his patient Nick's involvement in Sarah's disappearance.

Charlotte continues to run the hospital from her bed; Mason starts acting out in school.

The Seaside Wellness group stages an intervention for a defensive and volatile Amelia, who has resurfaced after disappearing on a 12-day drug binge with her boyfriend, Ryan. During the intervention, Amelia mercilessly attacks her friends one-by-one, and Addison, in particular, has trouble seeing her sister-in-law in her present condition.

Upon hearing that he must meet with Henry's social worker during a home visit, Jake fears that an incident in his past will come to light. Meanwhile, Addison becomes skeptical of Jake's needy patient and James continues to pursue Amelia.

With her relationship with Kevin on the rocks, Addison finds herself attracted to Wyatt. Violet looks for a way to have a relationship with both Pete and Sheldon. Meanwhile, Cooper and Charlotte become closer after a family emergency.

In this Addison-centric episode, her role as a parent is challenged when Henry's biological mother reappears and asks to be more involved in her young son's life. Meanwhile Addison reconnects with her mentor, who shares a very painful secret.

Meanwhile, Cooper's strengthening bond with his son is tested by his allegiance to a patient in need, Pete and Violet's marriage reaches a tipping point, and Addison collapses from her rigorous fertility treatments.

When Cooper's patient contracts measles, everyone at Oceanside Wellness must be quarantined. Meanwhile, Naomi tries to talk Addison into working with her rival, Wyatt; Violet and Pete contemplate their friends-with-benefits relationship; and Dell fights for custody of his daughter.

Derek asks Addison to work with his pregnant patient while Archer recuperates from surgery; Bailey and Naomi work together to find the cause of Sam's sudden asthma attack; Cooper, Violet and Pete treat a woman with postpartum depression.

Charlotte's attacker, Lee Henry, arrives at St. Ambrose Hospital, injured by his girlfriend and in need of urgent care, and Sam and Charlotte must decide whether or not to save his life. Meanwhile, Susan's health takes a turn for the worse, and Addison's mother, Bizzy, begs her daughter to do everything in her power to help.

Cooper is outraged when he gets bad news about Charlotte's sexual assault case.

Sheldon warns Sam that he may be in over his head when he insists on releasing Corinne from the hospital and caring for her at home; a badly beaten Scott arrives at the ER and is placed under the care of Pete; Amelia is encouraged to make a decision about her unborn child; and Jake's daughter grills him on his love life when he visits her at college. In an episode told from Cooper's point of view, we follow him from the moment of conception through a nasty fight with Charlotte, which inadvertently threatens the lives of their triplets. Meanwhile, Violet comforts a friend who is being advised to take her partner off life-support.

Cooper and Charlotte take Erica to Seattle Grace to meet with Derek, Lexie and Amelia regarding a very risky surgery; Scott tells Violet that he would like to take their relationship to the next level; and Addison finds herself caught in the middle of Sam and Jake's fight about a patient. Meanwhile, Sheldon warns Sam to be cautious as he deals with the return of his sister, Corinne.

Meanwhile, Violet wonders what secret Cooper is keeping from her, while Cooper himself has to decide whether or not to reveal a medical secret to a patient. Pete gets a surprise visitor, his estranged brother, who has come to ask Pete to help release their sick mother from prison.

Meanwhile Amelia butts into Sam's personal life, pointing out that he can mend hearts in the OR but can't seem to do that for himself; and Sheldon encourages Charlotte to reconcile with Cooper, while Cooper deals with a young patient who eats everything in sight.

While Addison deals with the unwelcome arrival of her father, Cooper is arrested because he refused to cooperate in a case involving a longtime patient. Meanwhile, Pete will stop at nothing to keep a terminally ill patient alive for as long as it takes for him to meet his new daughter.

When Addison's patient and the life of the three unborn babies she is carrying as a surrogate hang in the balance, Sam's new girlfriend, Vanessa, and Addison are sharply divided on the course of treatment. Meanwhile Amelia and Pete's medical consultation is complicated when a patient's wife and his mistress disagree on the course of treatment, Charlotte and Cooper try to be intimate with each other again, and Violet considers publishing a personally-revealing book she's written.

While interviewing potential replacements for Naomi, the doctors at Oceanside Wellness don't understand Addison's resistance to hiring Jake Reilly; Cooper disregards the law as he tries to help a young, sick patient.

Addison questions how much she wants a baby and confides in Jake, Violet considers an offer to go on a date with a young, hot paramedic, and Sam and Pete have a bachelors' night at a local bar. Meanwhile, Charlotte faces a personal, ethical dilemma when Amelia uncovers a secret about Mason's mom, Erica, and Sheldon refuses to bend to the pressure when an old friend from the police force wants him to rubber stamp a fellow cop suffering from PTSD.

Meanwhile, Violet is trying to convince a patient to leave her husband, even though, she is having trouble letting go of her ex-boyfriend who is now married.

Violet and Cooper make amendments to their friendship in order to please their significant others; Pete and Cooper get in an argument involving marijuana use by a patient (guest starring Justine Bateman as Sydney); Addison is conflicted about going public with her new romance, and Sheldon's decision to deny approval for a patient's sex change backfires.

The oceanside wellness center takes on the fertility of one of its previous couples, Addison is conflicted about her status in the dating world and Cooper begins a secret affair.

Cooper receives the surprise of his life when a woman from his past arrives at the practice; Addison consults her patient, Jodi, who is eight and half months pregnant and suffering from severe memory loss after a traumatic car accident; and Sheldon and Violet clash when their patient, Jodi's husband, Zach, considers leaving his wife and taking the baby with him.

Katie Kent is apprehended and on trial. Violet is asked to testify against her attacker, but she struggles with whether or not she can face her attacker in court. Meanwhile a serious complication threatens the fetuses of two of Naomi's former patients and Charlotte is determined to convince Addison, Sam and Cooper to let her join Oceanside Wellness Group.
