YAU GEl has ill feelings with PAO HEN TIN, head of an illegal gang. Since YAU GEl knows he is unable to fight with HEN TIN, he is planning to send someone to attack HO NAM and put all the blame on HEN TIN. He intends to use KIU CHING's power to fight against HEN TIN. HO NAM is being wounded by attacks. He is forced to slip into the ladies' room for shelter. There he meets with SHEK YI MING and ultimately gets help from her. HO NAM returns to the hotel where he is threatened by HEN TIN. In addition to seeing the attacks suffered by YAU GEl which is only pretence, HO NAM is made to believe that all is done by HEN TIN. CHEUNG CHUN tells his daughter that he is a sailor and can only go back to England once every year. YI MING doubts if his father has some other relationships elsewhere. She points this out to her mother but her mother expresses her total belief in her father's loyalty. As a matter of fact, YI MING is very doubtful.… ...

HEI TIN can bear no more what YAU GEl has done to him so he kills YAU GEl for HO NAM. HO NAM admires the deeds of HEI TIN very much and eventually they become very dear friends. When YI MING sees CHEUNG CHUN off at the airport, she meets also HO YI seeing HO NAM off. YI MING is still mad with HO NAM and refuses to talk with him. CHEUNG CHUN returns to Hong Kong. Incidentally, he gets into his own taxi and he thinks the driver has stolen his taxi. He tries to beat the taxi-driver up but he is eventually brought to the police. When SUK PING goes to bail him out, she explains that she has given his taxi on rental to the driver. CHEUNG CHUN is so very embarrassed. HO NAM is looking around to check up the business at the slugger-room. He sees KA WING is cheating a wealthy young man with teddy girl, MONICA. He is not very pleased with him. KA WING takes MONICA home to see the videos.… ...

WEI SUM brings her mother-in-law YAU MEI from the monastery to stay at her home for several days. She finds that YAU MEI is still very upset about the where about of her second son CHEUNG CHUN. She therefore begs KIU CHING to fulfil YAU MEI's hope of seeing her son again before she passes away. The story is that YAU MEI has had no son of her own. She has adopted KIU CHING as his own son. She has made her little maid AH LAN as second wife of her husband. Later on, AN LAN has given birth to SHEK CHEUNG CHUN so both the mother and son are greatly spoilt whilst YAU MEI and KIU CHING are badly treated. That is why the relationship between KIU CHING and CHEUNG CHUN is so very much destroyed. In the 60's, CHEUNG CHUN, his mother, GEl ZEE and CHAI KIU CHING were fleeing to Hong Kong by boat. Their boat had an accident in the rough seas. CHEUNG CHUN's mother and GEl ZEE lost their way and were out of touch.… ...

YI MING learns from the newspaper that the ship which CHEUNG CHUN claims he is on has an accident. The situation of some sailors is still unknown so MING immediately calls direct the shipping company for his news. She discovers CHEUNG CHUN never works as a sailor. Knowing that she and her mother are being cheated by CHEUNG CHUN, she becomes very mad but it seems GEl ZEE is aware of it. TING PONG has been in England for twenty years. Though he has accomplished quite many deeds for the police force there, he is not very pleased being so far away and he finds it quite difficult getting along with the foreigners. Now that so many Hong Kong people immigrating to England reminds him of his home-town. He feels missing Hong Kong and decides to return Hong Kong. GEl ZEE asks TING PONG to pass something to CHEUNG CHUN.… ...

HO NAM is so distressed with his love that he goes out to the sea often without attending to his father's business properly. ith KIU CHING's advices, HO NAM now gets to know that his career tops all and he then stops thinking about it. GAO CHEUNG meets with FONG LING who is KIU CHING's mistress in the club. He is very impressed with her maturity and starts chasing after her. However, he can feel there is some secrets behind FONG LING. ON KEI is very disappointed with HO NAM. Sine she is feeling empty and JUAN FUNG is treating very nice, she is very impressed and begins to accept JUAN FUNG. TING PONG arrests TSE HA for further investigations. He forces him to reveal the background of their illegal gang. However, in fear of getting trouble for his own family if he reveals their secret dealings, TSE HA commits suicide.… ...

YI MING cannot figure out what is happening with CHEUNG CHUN. She decides to go to Hong Kong in order to find out the truth. In fear of her discovering his secret, CHEUNG CHUN tries to persuade YI MING to return to England. However, this makes YI MING more puzzled about CHEUNG CHUN. YI MING even decides to stay in Hong Kong for advancements. YI MING meets with YUK BING at TING PONG's apartment. Incidentally she knows YUK BING is the wife of CHEUNG CHUN. She is very angry and goes direct to question CHEUNG CHUN. CHEUNG CHUN has no alternative but to confirm the matter. YI MING doesn't let CHEUNG CHUN go free so easily. She intentionally tries to get to know more about YUK BING and on the other hand she plans to persuade GEl YEE to fly to Hong Kong. CHEUNG CHUN will be in big trouble. YI MING has promised HOK YI to visit her mother.… ...

With the help of some friends, YI MING is now hired as a reporter by a magazine. The very first job is to meet with JUAN FUNG and get his opinion on the construction works of Hong Kong. But JUAN FUNG is very moody and cannot concentrate in his talk, their meeting is then postponed. JUAN FUNG invites ON KEI as his partner in a grand party. Accidentally, they meets HO NAM at the party. They are so very embarrassed. Seeing that ON KEI is going back to the arms of HO NAM, JUAN FUNG tries to cut his wrists before HO NAM in order to force HO NAM to give up ON KEI. TING PONG is there but mistakenly he thinks HO NAM is trying to harm JUAN FUNG. Fortunately, KIU CHING is also there to solve the misunderstanding between them. KIU CHING leaves no stone unturned in order to keep his secrets. For safety sake, he plans to kill JUAN FUNG. With very desperate attempts, JUAN FUNG is able to escape from the hands of KIU CHING. However, JUAN FUNG is seriously wounded. He is leaning at ON KEI and slowly passes away. ON KEI is very scared and full of uncertainties. In the darkness, she sees HO NAM is searching around for the lost gun at shore. She is full of queries at that. KIU CHING sends his followers to search for the lost gun early in the morning but the whole scene is already under the police's supervision. GAO CHEUNG immediately rushes down .to the - scene. He is filled with deep sorrows at his son's death. His righteousness makes him delegate the whole case to the hands of TING PONG. TING PONG incidentally finds the lost gun at the scene and recognises it belongs to HO NAM.… ...

TING PONG firmly believes HO NAM is the murderer who killed JUAN FUNG and doesn't allow anyone to bail him out from prison. On the other hand, he tries all his best to find whatever evidence available in order to accuse HO NAM. KIU CHING is worried about the safety of HO NAM. He has specially hired Honourable Lawyer LI for HO NAM. On the other hand, he has arranged WEI SUM to stay with YAU MEI at the monastery in order to avoid WEI SUM from worries. TING PONG goes to search for evidence at the monastery. There he meets YUE HA who is WEI SUM's aunt. YUE HA is worried but to avoid getting into troubles she has not told WEI SUM about TING PONG. In fact, YUE HA is aware of the whole case. She knows WEI SUM and HO NAM are still alive and KIU CHING is treating them very nice. Seeing that WEI SUM is living happily, she has told TING PONG that WEI SUM and HO NAM were burned to death. YUE HA can never forget what she has done amongst them.… ...

When KA WING is arranged to give his statements at the court again, CHEUNG CHUN is aware of it. He opposes his son to do such shameful things in order to get advantages from KIU CHING. CHEUNG CHU insists that KA WING should not give false statements. When WEI SUM is at the court to listen HO NAM's case, she is shocked at seeing TING PONG is the person in charge of HO NAM's case. Knowing that the father and son are fighting against each other, she is very much incited and faints out. WEI SUM is full of worries. She goes to YUE HA for advices. WEI SUM knows well the character of TING PONG. It won't change anything even though TING PONG knows HO NAM is his own son. WEI SUM determines not to reveal this secret to either TING PONG or KIU CHING.'‧She also asks YUE HA to keep this secret for her. ON KEI thinks JUAN FONG got killed because of her. She feels very guilty about it. Moreover, she keeps recalling how passionate JUAN FONG has been with her before. She cannot forget her relationship with HO NAM either. Mentally she is feeling very exhausted and later on has a nerve breakdown. On the way to the court, TING PANG meets with a girl called SO JIN. They are trying to get on the same taxi and are very embarrassed. Actually SO JIN is also called to give her statement at the court. They both have special impression on each other. ON KEI is giving all various statements against HO NAM but. Lawyer ~I turns them all voided. He states that ON KEI is not satisfied being separated from HO NAM and is now trying to give false statements against him. ON KEI is contrarily insulted and pressed. ON KEI is mentally disturbed. She is now very depressed. In fear that ON KEI might commit suicide, KA HO keeps watching her all day and night.… ...

Lawyer LI makes use of the death of ON KEI. He turns all the unfavourable statements by ON KEI voided and bails HO NAM out of the prison. Whilst TING PANG tries to stop HO NAM from being bailed out, he meets WEI SUM with HO NAM. TING PANG is very astonished. TING PANG is very querulous about the real identity of HO NAM so he asks someone to find out the truth for him. He doubts if HO NAM is his own son. He cannot stop recalling what has happened in the past. TING PANG arranges to meet with WEI SUM. He questions her if HO NAM is his own son. WEI SUM honestly admits it and simultaneously points out TING PANG's fault of excessive dedication to his work without caring enough for her and HO NAM in the past. TING PANG is filled with regrets. KIU CHING intentionally accepts the interview with YI MING in order to calm down the public through her. When YI MING arrive CHIA's house, HO NAM is being informed that ON KEI committed suicide.… ...

KIU CHING doesn't want HO NAM to destroy his whole future. He intends to make HO NAM the successor of all his assets and businesses. He himself will admit all his faults at the court. HO NAM doesn't want to see his father to suffer either so he strongly resists to his suggestions. At the request of WEI SUM, TING PONG promises not to reveal his real identity to HO NAM and can only act like a friend and advise him not to risk his life to help KIU CHING. However, HO NAM is very angry with TING PONG and it seems they can never accept each other. To save HO NAM from all accusations, KIU CHING arranges FONG LING to get along with GAO CHEUNG and TING PONG in order to gain information from them. However, she is unable to get any., TING PONG really‧ doesn't want to put his own son into the prison with his own hands. He is thinking of voiding all accusations against HO NAM. Unfortunately, it is all too late.… ...

During the period when HO NAM is in prison, WEI SUM has not told him that TING PONG is his real father. She fears HO NAM might stand on TING PONG's side to attack KIU CHING and this will of course destroy the very many good years of relationship between HO NAM and KIU CHING. On several occasions, TING PONG visits HO NAM at the prison as an ordinary inspector. HO NAM cannot understand why TING PONG is paying him all these visits. There are personnel problems at the logger-room and KA WING has become the victim. He is so frustrated that he resigns from his job. He intends to seek help from KIU CHING but KIU CHING is on vacation in Japan so he has to wait and be jobless for the moment. CHEUNG CHUN arranges KA WING to work at a bank. Since the job nature is very simple and boring, KA WING becomes very depressed. KA WING incidentally meets with HO YI. Knowing that she is very fond of him, he intentionally tries to please her and starts to chase her in the hope that she might help him to advance his career in some ways in the near future. YI MING questions CHEUNG CHUN how to solve his problem of having two women but CHEUNG CHUN is unable to answer her. YI MING intentionally gets more close to YUK BING in order to embarrass CHEUNG CHUN. LUK PING introduces KA HO to YI MING. YI MING tells KA HO about the secret of CHEUNG CHUN.… ...

LUK PING gets along very well with YI MING. She wants KA H to chase YI MING but CHEUNG CHUN is very worried and tire to stop him. KA HO is aware of the whole situation an speaks ironically at CHEUNG CHUN. GAO CHEUNG likes FONG LING very much and wants to propose t her. FONG LING waits for KIU CHING's return from Japan in order to find out his reaction. Unexpectedly, KIU CHIN says he will respect FONG LING's personal preference an will let FONG LING to decide. FONGLING is deeply impressed and determines to stay with KIU CHING. The tyre of FONG LING’s car goes flat in the street. FON LING is very nervous and at this very moment some teddy boy goes forward to disturb her. Fortunately, KA HO is passing b and helps her. FONG LING has good impression with KA HO. CHEUNG CHUN is worried about the relationship between YIN' MING and KA HO so he talks to her seriously.… ...

CHEUNG CHUN expresses his quilt before YI MING. He tells her that he arrived in Hong Kong all alone and later met with YUK BING. When he and YUK BING are almost ready of marriage, he suddenly received news about GEI ZEE. He wanted to go back to GEI ZEE but YUK BING told him she was pregnant so they got married. Later on, CHEUNG CHUN was told GEI ZEE was also pregnant so he determined to hide the truth from these two women. YI MING now gets to understand his father. GEI ZEE knows YI MING is in the hospital so she immediately returns to Hong Kong and discovers CHEUNG CHUN's other relationship with YUK BING. GEI ZEE trusts no more CHEUNG CHUN's loyalty. She is very upset but doesn't what to do next. KIU CHING realises the reason why KA WING is chasing HO YI so he arranges KA WING to work as manager in a night club. He wants HO YI to see his real personality.… ...

It is GEI ZEE's birthday. YUK BING also goes for the celebration at the restaurant. She meets CHEUNG CHUN but is not able to discover his secret because GEI ZEE doesn't want to embarrass CHEUNG CHUN and therefore helps CHEUNG CHUN. GEI ZEE closes her business in England as she decides to return to Hong Kong for good. CHEUNG CHUN rejects strongly against her decision. GEI ZEE finds CHEUNG CHUN too selfish. She complains of CHEUNG CHUN's irresponsibility for her and YI MING in the past and his trying to escape from compensations. GEI ZEE intends to put an end to their relationship. TING PONG accompanies a friend to meet with anew girl. Incidentally SO JIN is‧ one of the guests. They are both very embarrassed but they talk to each other very friendly and have good impression with each other. In view of GEI ZEE's dissatisfaction, CHEUNG CHUN tries hard to beg for her understanding and forgiveness.… ...

Whilst SO MAN is still waiting for her sister SO JIN to apply entry to Hong Kong for her, the son of a high rank person finds so MAN very nice and wants to marry her since his own wife died earlier. SO MAN disagrees to do so and therefore flees to Hong Kong. On arrival, she discovers SO JIN's address and telephone are lost and is thus unable to get hold of SO JIN. In addition, she falls into the hands of some bad guys who claim she owes them lots of money and force her to give in herself to them as compensation. She is very confused and decides to run away. Because .of all the hard work, YI MING faints out in a lift. Fortunately, a Doctor SUNG is there to save her in time. YI MING is very grateful to him. They have good impression on each other. YI MING executes an interview on the open day at a prison. Incidentally she meets HO NAM. She finds his character gets even cooler as after all the sufferings at the prison.… ...

After escaping from those bad guys, SO MAN goes out seeking for a job. Unfortunately, she doesn't have an Identity Card and eventually gives in to work in the nightclub as a waitress. However, she insists she will not go to bed with any client ‧ .. SO MAN gets into troubles in the nightclub and needs help badly. Fortunately, she meets KA WING and thus asks him for advice. She finds KA WING is the only man who doesn't have any bad intention for her. She expresses confidence in him. In fact, she is very fond of him. SO MAN is being convinced by the head at the nightclub to sleep with the clients for more money to repay her father's debts. KA WING is there to stop it in time. SO MAN is very grateful to him and decides to live with him. Their relationship improves greatly. KA HO is still in love with FONG LING. He has dating with her repeatedly. FONG LING cannot leave KIU CHING because of financial problems.… ...

CHEUNG CHUN tries to convince YUK BING to give him money as he wants to compensate GEl ZEE in terms of money. GEl ZEE knows he is cheating money from YUK BING and thus refuses to accept the money. HO NAM is released from the prison. KIU CHING fears HO NAM might not be able to adapt to the society at once so he intends to send him abroad for vacation but HO NAM expresses he won't care what the world will think towards him. He returns to his job immediately. FONG LING is feeling blue and drinks a lot of wine. She meets KA HO and they spend the whole night together. Next day, FONG LING acts like nothing ever happened the night before and refuse to see KA HO again. This makes KA HO feeling very puzzled.

TING PONG gets known that SO JIN is sick at home so he goes to visit her and takes her to the doctor. SO JIN is alone and helpless but TING PONG is there to take care of her. She feels good being taken care of. TING PONG receives information that Soldier CHAI HA, the head of an illegal gang in Thailand, is coming to Hong Kong to meet with the buyers and to discuss cooperation matters. TING PONG sends his subordinates to watch out for their activities in order to arrest the whole gang completely. After thorough investigations, TING PONG has secured enough evidence to prove AH HAI, son of KAM HING, has illegal dealings with the drug gang.KIU CHING in appreciation of KAM HING's hard work for the past many years, arranges someone to save AH HAI from the police. He also arranges passage for AH HAI to flee to Taiwan.… ...

KA HO asks FONG LING to marry him in order to give her a new living. FONG LING thinks KA HO is too impulsive and thus rejects him. KA HO can only wait. YI MING and HO NAM get to know each other better but YI MING feels HO NAM becomes more cruel and crafty then before. Though this widens the distance between them, there is however no influence on YI MING's love towards HO NAM. One of TING PONG'S subordinates argues with HO NAM in the street and he even gives warning to HO NAM. KIU CHING observes the police may have collected sufficient evidence to accuse him; otherwise they won't intimidate HO NAM. HO NAM is unwilling to be frequently encountered by TING PONG and intends to crash his car towards TING PONG. At the emergency, TING PONG discloses their affinity relationship. HO NAM suspects whether he is his real father or not. HO NAM asks WEI SUM about his personal history and finally proves TING PONG is his real father.… ...

YI MING makes an appointment for HO NAM to meet with TING PONG so as to smooth their relationship but she is blamed by HO NAM as a meddler. Conflicts arise between the two. Owing to their stubborn and conceited personality, compromise is difficult to achieve. This ruins their relationship. HO NAM still hates TING PONG even though he knows he is his real father. Moreover, he tells TING PONG he will insist on standing against him.… ...

CHEUNG CHUN discovers KA WING is doing illegal business in the night club. On several occasions, he persuades KA WING to give it up but fails. Now he begs KIU CHING to release KA WING. However, KIU CHING still remembers CHEUNG CHUN's pushing him into the sea when they first fled to Hong Kong. He hates CHEUNG CHUN and refuses to lead KA WING back to the right road. With the help of KA WING, SO MAN is able to solve her living problems. Sine she is in love with KA WING, they decide to live together. They are lively happily and fortunately. SO MAN incidentally meets SO JIN in the cinema. The sisters are so happy to come across with each other again. YI MING feels very disappointed at HO NAM. She decides to go to England for a while so as to calm down and release herself from love affairs. HO NAM secretly arranges to start a trip with YI MING. She is greatly impressed. HO NAM and YI MING visits HO YI together.… ...

TING BONG receives information about the influx of drugs into Hong Kong which can make the drugs problem notorious. He determines to catch the principal offender. He sends his subordinates to investigate the sources of drugs. KIU CHING notices some problems in his drug business. After investigations, it is found that KA WING is doing his own business under the title of KIU CHING. KIU CHING is very angry and thus sends his followers to question KA WING. KA WING knows he is in danger, so he flees to England and finds HO YI stealthily. He pretends to revise relationship with HO YI in order to regain confidence from KIU CHING. YUK BING knows of KA WING's disappearance for a few days. She is particularly worried when several guys come to investigate KA WING's conditions. She therefore seeks help from TING PONG. This arouses TING PONG'S suspicions. CHEUNG CHUN supposes KIU CHING must be responsible for the disappearance of KA WING.… ...

GEl ZEE is excellent in cooking. She is invited to teach cooking on a TV programme. This broadens her social boundaries. CHEUNG CHUN is dissatisfied with GEl ZEE as she now becomes rather outgoing. He always finds excuse to challenge GEl ZEE. Conflicts arise between them. CHEUNG CHUN suspects GEl ZEE frequently contacts a guy in the TV station. He quarrels with her in the street but is incidentally met by YUK BING. YUK BING discovers the relationship between CHEUNG CHUN and GEl ZEE. CHEUNG CHUN finds it very difficult as YUK BING forces him to make a choice. After HO NAM and YI MING return to Hong Kong, they declare their marriage to KIU CHING. Though KIU CHING doesn't like it, he still has to agree so as to show his respect to HO NAM's decision. KIU CHING discovers the close relationship between FONG LING and KA HO but he doesn't say a word about it and tries to get back FONG LING with money.… ...

KIU CHING attends a charity party while HO YI and KA WING return Hong Kong. They announce to the public that they have been married in London. This annoys KIU CHING. KIU CHING does not want to see HO YI being treated with injustice; he gives KA WING a sum of capital to create his own business. In addition, he pretends forgiving KA WING. This in turn makes KA WING feeling well. SO MAN suffers a blow as she hears KA WING marrying another girl. She asks for explanation from KA WING. KA WING has no alternative but just honestly tells SO MAN that is the result of some environmental factors. SO MAN is very distressed. SO MAN finds herself pregnant after she departs KA WING. She determines to give up the baby but is resisted by SO JIN. Besides, SO JIN persuades SO MAN beware of health. KA HO arranges FONG LING to meet CHEUNG CHUN. CHEUNG CHUN gains a good impression on FONG LING's gentleness.

KIU CHING makes HO NAM the first successor of his gang but actually this is done in fear of that HO NAM will join TING PONG to fight against him. In particular, when KIU CHING discovers that there are contacts between HO NAM and TING PONG, he is filled with queries and unhappiness. KIU CHING makes a plan by which he sends someone to pretend to kill HO NAM and thus arranges he to protect HO NAM. Consequently, KIU CHING is wounded during the struggle and HO NAM is very grateful and impressed because he thinks KIU CHING risks his life to save him. HO NAM admires KIU CHING much more than before. KA WING thinks he can gain the heart of KIU CHING after his marriage with HO Yr. On the contrary, KIU CHING has given the largest power to the hands of HO NAM. KA WING gets so very disappointed. AH CHUNG has stolen a large number of money from the company.… ...

AH CHUNG is suppressed by the police and HO NAM is sent to the hospital. Transfusion is needed urgently to save HO NAM and only the blood of TING PONG is suitable which saves his life. When HO NAM wakes up, he is very grateful to TING PONG. In addition, TING PONG takes the initiative to comfort him. This helps to smooth their relationship. KIU CHING feels very worried as he knows the suspicion between HO NAM and TING PONG has been dissolved. He therefore refuses to see HO NAM again. HO NAM wants to comfort KIU CHING. However, he finds AH CHUNG is being obliterated because he is no longer useful.‧ Owing to this, HO NAM thinks KIU CHING is too despotic. Divergent opinions arise between them.
