TSUN-WING returns to hotel and embarks on a campaign of Losers Recruitment Day in search of suitable candidates for makeover. LAI-CHING comes to the hotel for beauty treatment, but the sight of FU-HO triggers more hiccups, and she goes into hiding in the banquet hall. YING PAN bumps into despondent LAI-CHING, and mistakes her as applicant for Losers Recruitment Day, so he takes her to the basement for an interview……

Soaked MUSE MIU braves the rain trying to flag down a taxi. Feeling generous, TSUN-WING gives her a ride. Pulling down her clothes to wipe off rain water, TSUN-WING guesses this is MUSE's gesture of seduction. LINA does not approve TSUN-WING hiring PISA K, alias Soprano Queen, for performance, because PISA K showed amorous feelings for FU-HO in an anniversary party seven years ago. Because of poor DSE exam results, HAZEL has gone into hiding, and KO SUM searches high and low for her. HAZEL does not want to rely on LAI-CHING anymore. KO SUM is willing to take care of HAZEL. HAZEL takes KO SUM to make solemn declaration before Earth God, and they become sworn brother and sister. LAI-CHING makes every effort to find new job but to no avail. DINA wittingly dials wrong number to tell LAI-CHING she has high fever. LAI-CHING is worried, so she promptly visits DINA. LAI-CHING returns to work at Buffett Studio……

TSUN-WING invites LAI-CHING to work as an intern at Midsummer Night's Garden Hotel to repay her debts, but LAI-CHING fears seeing FU-HO will trigger more hiccup attacks. HAZEL debuts as a promotional model, but the advertisement production director gives her a real hiding. KO SUM counter-accuses the director of incompetence in defense. After listening to KO SUM's speech, Master Chow, advertiser, decides to give him a try. In a management meeting, TSUN-WING highly praises MUSE at the slightest mention of her name. FONG ON points out that MUSE is very popular with hotel guests, but TSUN-WING thinks it is only because of her pretty face. TSUN-WING orders MUSE to clean his room but he in fact wants to see her actual performance. MUSE keeps her cool. LAI-CHI, HAZEL and DINA help LAI-CHING put on hotel uniform. TSUN-WING takes LAI-CHING to the sports ground to watch FU-HO's tennis game……

TSUN-WING engages in a recruitment drive. FU-HO decides not to interfere with TSUN-WING's decisions, but tells him to keep away from MUSE. LAI-CHING finally finds out FU-HO's nasty motive for taking revenge on her. She thinks he wants to punish her for peeking at his embarrassing moves on the tennis court. HAZEL's DSE exam results are disappointing, so she decides to abandon school and start a career as a model. But KO SUM does not want HAZEL to get into showbiz. TSUN-WING only wants to know whether MUSE is a good or bad girl. He orders YING PAN to find out. CHI-KEUNG has found new intern to clean FU-HO's room, but FU-HO asks for reassigning LAI-CHING back to clean his room, so that he can monitor her performance. LAI-CHING is harassed by drunken guests. Having been teetotal for the past seven years, FU-HO breaks this cardinal rule and gulps down the wine in defense of LAI-CHING……

FU-HO tells LINA that she has to instruct TSUN-WING to fire MUSE. TSUN-WING refuses. FU-HO plays matchmaker for TSUN-WING, and finds a prospective object of affection, HELEN, who is the daughter of his business partner, HENRY. TSUN-WING tells LAI-CHING he has had argument with FU-HO. LAI-CHING persuades TSUN-WING to consider problems from FU-HO's angle, and be sympathetic about his situation. HAZEL announces her decision to drop out of school and enter showbiz as a promotional model. KO SUM nags her not to go into showbiz. HAZEL decides to leave him. TSUN-WING discovers department managers are secretly meeting up at the bar, and he also overhears their criticism about him. TSUN-WING tries to prevent FAN-TAU from bringing his girlfriend for some hanky-panky at the hotel. But he finds out FAN-TAU has befriended many colleagues, who have all become accomplices. LAI-CHING goes to watch FU-HO plays tennis……

For the past seven years, CHI-KEUNG has been lying to FU-HO that she is a lesbian so that she can be close to him. LAI-CHING's mistakes have been secretly covered by FU-HO. TSUN-WING informs FU-HO about recent increase in banquet bookings of Midsummer Night's Garden Hotel. FU-HO gives TSUN-WING LAI-CHING's plastic steak key ring. TSUN-WING understands this as a gesture of meaning "well done". While MUSE is cleaning room, she bumps into CHEUNG, friend of her ex-husband LOK TIN. CHEUNG is taking some punters to a gambling session in some room. The police come to arrest CHEUNG, who manages to escape during the scuffle. CHI-KEUNG feels neglected, as FU-HO acts likes LAI-CHING's bodyguard. CHI-KEUNG strongly criticizes FU-HO, and admits her loving feelings for him. HONG-KIN orders JACK to clear up a room - where a murder took place and which is now reopened - but JACK forces MUSE to do the work for him……

After investigation, YING PAN tells TSUN-WING his findings about MUSE, who has a daughter. This only daughter is a long-term liver disease patient staying at a hospital. While FU-HO is packing his belongings and getting ready to move out of Midsummer Night's Garden Hotel. LINA brings FANTASTIC along for an audition, as FU-HO must listen to his new composition. LAI-CHING plays the new song. LINA tells FU-HO she is certain that it will be a hit. After downing more than ten bottles of wine, CHI-KEUNG feels sick and goes to the hospital, but FU-HO has not come to visit her. CHI-KEUNG is disappointed. FU-HO looks for music charts of new song, and he asks LAI-CHING to help. FU-HO discovers the charts have actually been shredded. FONG ON receives guest complaint about seeing a confused person when TSUN-WING takes him to his room. At this moment, LOK TIN, MUSE's ex-husband, and MUSE show up……

MUSE is rescued by TSUN-WING. MUSE is worried that LOK-TIN may not be willing to donate his liver to their daughter LOK-TSUI. TSUN-WING promises MUSE he will always be by her side. FU-HO requests four members of top corporate management to help LAI-CHING find the shredded music charts. FAN-TAU realizes MUSE is reinstated, but he is not happy about TSUN-WING not giving him respect. LINA is pleased with the arrangement of FANTASTIC's performance at the buffet venue, and she thinks he is the hotel's savior. CHI-KEUNG learns of TSUN-WING's dubious college qualifications from the media. FU-HO orders TSUN-WING to take leave of absence, and FAN-TAU to assume his duties. A dejected TSUN-WING tells MUSE his sad story. Meanwhile, FU-HO also tells LAI-CHING his sorrows. Putting on her analytical hat, LAI-CHING persuades FU-HO to trust his son. In a directors' meeting, TSUN-WING offers his apology……

FU-HO tells LAI-CHING he remembers what happened between them seven years ago. LAI-CHING tells FU-HO that CHI-KEUNG has been his secret admirer for the past seven years. LAI-CHING is disappointed by FU-HO's unkind treatment of CHI-KEUNG. LAI-CHING does not like FU-HO, who is starting to have hiccups whenever he thinks of LAI-CHING. FA-PO rejects intern to join his department. But FONG-ON asks FAN-TAU to assign intern to help front desk. When FU-HO asks FAN-TAU for advice, FAN-TAU's reply is to transfer all interns to food and beverage department. KO SUM has gone to Taiwan to clear his mind. HAZEL has become very popular since her advert first aired. When KO SUM returns from Taiwan, he brings with him a girlfriend, CHOI SIU-YAU, who is a dead ringer for HAZEL. TSUN-WING is on his way to deliver meals, and he bumps into MUSE. He cares too much about chatting with MUSE that he messes up the guests' orders……

FAN-TAU understands FU-HO does not like him, so he tenders his resignation to FU-HO. Master FEI WAN comes to stay at Midsummer Night's Garden Hotel. FAN-TAU personally serves the master and even manages to get his autograph, which FAN-TAU uses as a gift for Brother TSAI to ease his displeasure about the hotel. TSUN-WING thanks FAN-TAU for peacefully handling the incident. TSUN-WING begins to understand FU-HO's well-meaning intentions. HAZEL agrees to modeling wedding dresses for Buffett Photos, but she suddenly refunds her fee to DINA as compensation because she has received big modeling fee from Wah Ting Wedding Gowns. SIU-YAU comes to the shop to find KO SUM. LAI-CHING has a bright idea when she sees SIU-YAU. LAI-CHING clears up bottles of white wine left behind by guests. SHING-SHUK, restaurant manager, notices LAI-CHING has a special feel for wine.LINA asks FU-HO to help her propose to FANTASTIC……

FU-HO takes LAI-CHING with him everywhere he goes. His work is smooth, and he even has outstanding performance in sports. PO FEI sends TSUN-WING and MUSE to represent Midsummer Night's Garden Hotel in Plate Carrying Championship. FU-HO wants to take LAI-CHING to Macau to see a water circus, but LAI-CHING tells FU-HO she has no loving feelings for him so she is not going. SHING-SHUK admires LAI-CHING's natural discerning taste for wine, and he gladly suggests LAI-CHING to sign up for sommelier course. FU-HO phones LAI-CHING to remind her time of meeting, but when LAI-CHING sees a despondent TSUN-WING, she forgets to hang up the phone. FU-HO overhears their complete conversation. HAZEL bumps into a fat guy, who mistakes her as SIU-YAU. HAZEL plots with LAI-CHING to uncover SIU-YAU's disguise. FANTASTIC is under immense stress because his new record is about to be released, and he resorts to smoking marijuana in the restaurant……

LINA accuses FU-HO as the culprit of FANTASTIC's hearing loss in both ears. She uses this as an excuse to force FU-HO to upgrade the hotel, or otherwise, FU-HO will be kicked out of Shakespeare Corp and be left with nothing. FU-HO holds endless meetings with all departments, and he becomes aggressively demanding. LAI-CHING thinks FU-HO's attitude is unreasonable. FU-HO goes to hospital to see and offer his apology to FANTASTIC. FU-HO shows he has a soft side behind his tough guy character. HAZEL is promoting a cake shop. HAZEL is annoyed when she realizes DINA and LAI-CHING repeatedly ask for free tasting. HAZEL is adamant that she will destroy the relationship between KO SUM and SIU-YAU. KO SUM asks HAZEL to move out. Bringing with him a ring and a dress, TSUN-WING asks LOK-TSUI to agree to MUSE marrying him. MUSE finally refuses marriage proposal and suggests TSUN-WING not to see her again……

After selling his apartment, SIU-YAU shamelessly pockets KO SUM's money. MUSE gets hold of TSUN-WING, and tells him that LOK-TSUI's condition is getting critical. LOK-TSUI urgently needs a liver transplant. FU-HO summons TSUN-WING, and tells him that he will soon be eliminated under the intern system. TSUN-WING cheers himself up and completes Plate Carrying Championship. He then properly leaves MUSE. Host Chan delivers a shipment of premium red wine - for a wine tasting event - for storage in the wine cellar of Midsummer Night's Garden Hotel. LAI-CHING notices some bugs on the bottles, and she inadvertently breaks a bottle. FU-HO wants to go America to personally talk with Host Chan about supplying vintage wine for wine tasting event. LINA uses her pressure tactics to harass FU-HO again. LAI-CHING asks FU-HO to let her apologize to Host Chan……

LAI-CHING has fever. FU-HO busily prepares congee for her. He plays some melody on the piano to make her sleep more comfortably. To save up for an apartment, KO SUM becomes thrifty and works very hard. HAZEL reminds KO SUM that he should not be greedy. She also tells him he is talented and should keep pursuing his ambitions. FA-PO and SHING-SHUK appraise LAI-CHING's waitressing. FU-HO knows LAI-CHING is nervous, and he plays a song for LAI-CHING to help her successfully face the challenge. LAI-CHING is transferred to the front desk, but she asks to postpone her transfer until completion of the wine tasting event. FA-PO refuses. CHO-SHAU and OLDMAN AU engage in small talk. OLDMAN AU admits he is nobody in a contest with FU-HO for LAI-CHING's attention. CHI-KEUNG overhears their chit-chat. LINA tells tales of yesteryear on the radio to make FU-HO look bad, because FU-HO cannot find specialist to treat FANTASTIC……

While helping MUSE, TSUN-WING is seriously wounded in a knife attack, and he is in hospital for treatment. LAI-CHING keeps MUSE company, and they make origami cranes for sending Power of Love to TSUN-WING. FU-HO learns of TSUN-WING's unpromising situation. LINA is so saddened that she cannot stop crying. SO FA, boss of My Bath, offers KO SUM better pay to poach him away from Buffett Photos. KO SUM takes SO FA's daughter to some beach for a sexy photo shoot. They bump into renowned Japanese photographer Moriyama, who is shooting HAZEL. LAI-CHING knows TSUN-WING has undergone operation. FU-HO does not want TSUN-WING to see MUSE, so he has not told MUSE. LAI-CHING criticizes FU-HO's heartless attitude. LAI-CHING tells FU-HO to deliver two bags of origami cranes to LOK-TSUI as punishment. When FANTASTIC sees LAI-CHING, he wants to offer his explanation. But FU-HO and LINA catch the sight of them pushing and pulling each other……

When LINA sees intimate photos of FANTASTIC and LAI-CHING in a bath, she calls FU-HO at once and asks him to handle the shocking images. But CHI-KEUNG answers LINA's call instead, and she keeps the news from FU-HO. LINA finds LAI-CHING, who wants to explain. But LAI-CHING is pushed against a corner so forcefully by LINA that she faints. KO SUM and HAZEL go to hospital to see TSUN-WING. They notice MUSE's hostile towards TSUN-WING, as he has a secret collection of girlie magazines. FU-HO orders the top management quartet to speed up drafting business plan for second half of the year. He also blocks phone calls from LAI-CHING as he does not want to hear from her. FU-HO tells CHO-SHAU he expects himself to leave the group very soon, so he asks CHO-SHAU to help TSUN-WING. FU-HO goes to the ward to find TSUN-WING, and incidentally meets LINA and FANTASTIC. He then finds out the truth behind those intimate photos of FANTASTIC and LAI-CHING……

FU-HO is still suspicious about LAI-CHING. FU-HO watches closed circuit TV in the restaurant but cannot see any trace of FANTASTIC's lyrics. He feels uneasy. FU-HO goes to visit Hotel Academics, and has a taste of Power of Love cocktail, which is LAI-CHING's graduation creation. Feeling tipsy, FU-HO is driven away in a taxi to find LAI-CHING. When FU-HO wakes up the next day in a hotel room, CHO-SHAU tells him LAI-CHING has suddenly resigned. A drunken TSUN-WING finds FU-HO and tells him that MUSE does not agree to his marriage proposal. FU-HO is also ditched by LAI-CHING. TSUN-WING and MUSE meet up at entrance to marriage registry. MUSE still refuses to marry TSUN-WING, who promises to try his best to become mature and reliable. LINA invites LAI-CHING to return to Midsummer Night's Garden Hotel, because FU-HO has resigned his general manager position in the hotel, and has gone to South America to further his business interests……
