Elaine asks Dr Costigan to give her painful knee a once-over and 92-year-old Elizabeth comes in for her regular heart check-up.

She is presenting the classic symptoms of bereavement, and is unable to sleep, eat properly or feel motivated.

Claire plans to clean out the wounds, and provide her patient with help in ensuring the dangerous infection does not get too far into her body.

Meanwhile, doctors treat a woman suffering from terrible foot and leg cramps, and a man with multiple ailments, including Crohn's disease, has legs so swollen he struggles to get his socks on.

Meanwhile, 15-year-old Awais has three grey hairs on the back of his head, causing his father concern, so he is given a blood test to help diagnose the issue.

Patients with chronic pain issues visit Ridge Medical Practice in Bradford, including a distraught woman suffering from bowel pain caused by an error in surgery three years earlier. Other patients include a man suffering from ulcerated legs, and a woman with an undiagnosed condition with symptoms including memory loss and painful swelling.

A woman with epilepsy has a tough decision to make about the medication she has been offered, as it could prevent her from having children in the future. Elsewhere, doctors treat a patient who is concerned about a small lump in her breast, and a man arrives at the surgery struggling to breathe.

Dr Kahn needs all his bedside manner skills to help a little girl with situs invertus, a condition that causes her internal organs to be reversed. Teenage mum Olivia brings along great-grandmother Linda, who is eager to make sure it doesn't happen again. Lisa suffered a stroke, but has yet to be offered physiotherapy.

Office worker Lawrence is in Dr Natalie Smith's consulting room as he cannot get the fingers of his right hand to move, while Dr Ashleigh Helm's patient Sue has developed tremors in her hands and legs.
