The 12 candidates bake cupcakes for their first test, followed by blind tasting Technical bake. One will be declared the star baker and one will be eliminated.
Week 2 -- Tarts

Following last week's elimination the tension is beginning to mount in the Great Irish Bake Off tent. The judges search for their king and queen of tarts as the contestants are put through their first showstopper challenge.
Week 3 -- Bread

Paul Kelly and Biddy White Lennon challenge the remaining contestants to create an Irish bread basket composed of Soda bread, Irish tea bread and a non-yeasted bread for the signature bake.
In the technical bake, the amateur bakers must recreate Paul's tear and share Party bread.
