Catarina tells Lucíola that she will go to the witch doctor's house. Brumela fires Ulisses. Afonso manages to get to Constância and Martinho's house. The witch doctor warns Amália and Levi about the danger they are in. Virgílio arrives at Martinho and Constância's house and Afonso hides. Catarina appears at the witch doctor's house

Catarina talks to the witch doctor about the future. Virgílio tells Martinho and Constância that Amália must turn herself in to reduce her sentence. Afonso promises Constância that he will bring her children back. Selésio tells Lucrécia that he loves her and the two end up kissing. Catarina decides to get pregnant and, to do so, seduces Virgílio. Amália tells Afonso that Catarina visited the witch doctor.

Amália is wary of Catarina's plans. Virgílio realizes that Rodolfo is bothered by Catarina's popularity. Catarina tells Lucíola that she needs to keep Rodolfo in love with her. Catarina tells Brumela to rehire Ulisses. Brumela tells Ulisses that she is willing to accept him back in the kitchen if he agrees to respect her authority. Afonso and Levi come across a hunter.

Amália tries to convince the hunter that Afonso and Levi are not a danger. Brumela is irritated by Rodolfo's compliment to Ulisses and decides to resign. Catarina is worried when she realizes that Diana saw her kissing Virgílio. Selena goes after Afonso, after Agnes claims to know where he is. Selena warns Afonso and Amália that there are guards looking for them.

Catarina appoints Ulisses as the new commander of the castle kitchen. Agnes takes Afonso and Amália to hide in a cave. Brumela tells Betânia that she will work in the fields. Virgílio pressures Diana to tell him what she knows about Amália's whereabouts.

Lucíola reveals to Catarina about a conversation she overheard between Virgílio and Diana, and the queen concludes that they are betraying her trust. Lucrécia suggests to Mother Benedita that the fair be held in Montemor. Brumela decides to shelter Afonso, Amália and Levi. Ulisses reprimands Selena for having told Diana where Amália is taking refuge. Lucíola tells Catarina that she saw Diana preparing to leave on horseback.

Rodolfo's advisors tell the prisoner Enoque that his life will be spared, but he must leave Montemor. Glória eats the enchanted fruit again. Agnes shows Selena the men who are looking for her. Afonso meets with Otávio, king of Lastrilha. Diana helps Virgílio enter Catarina's room, and the merchant discovers a letter about Augusto's arrest.

King Octavian promises to arrange a meeting with the other kings of Calia. Virgil gives Eloi a letter to deliver to the sender in case anything happens to him. Olegário agrees with Lupércio and decides to end his relationship with Matilda. King Octavian offers Rodolfo information about Afonso's whereabouts in exchange for a better trade agreement between the kingdoms of Montemor and Lastrilha.

Otávio reveals to Rodolfo that Afonso is interested in making alliances with the kingdoms of Cália to overthrow him from the throne of Montemor. Virgílio tells Catarina that Rodolfo will capture Afonso. Selena warns Amália that Afonso will be betrayed. Afonso realizes that he was betrayed by Otávio. Rodolfo orders the guards to arrest his brother.

Catarina tells Delano to go after Amália. Rodolfo complies with Afonso's request and decides to pardon Amália and Levi. Rodolfo tells Afonso to be taken to the quarry. Amália hides in the forest with Levi when she sees Delano approaching Brumela's house. Lucrécia and a group of nuns visit Rodolfo. Virgílio imprisons Amália and Levi and takes them to a remote cabin in the forest.

Catarina tells Lucíola that she needs to find a way to make her husband believe that the child she is expecting is his. At Lucrécia's request, Rodolfo dismisses Pizarro's services. Catarina seeks out Brice, who assures her that he will bewitch Alfonso so that the king will stay with her, believing that he is with Amalia. Diana confesses to Amalia how Catarina manipulated her to take Constantino's life.

Brice loses his strength and is unable to finish the spell, leaving Afonso unconscious. Catarina sets Afonso up to believe he spent the night with her. Afonso wakes up next to Catarina and asks Gregório to keep it a secret. Pizarro steals the treasure left by Margô. Afonso threatens Rodolfo. Amália confesses to Afonso that she is investigating Catarina. Catarina tells Afonso about her pregnancy.

Diana offers to look for Virgílio. Afonso tells Gregório that he didn't want to have a child with Catarina. Lucíola tells the kitchen that Catarina is pregnant. Rodolfo confiscates Orlando and Petrônio's treasure through a decree. Virgílio offers to help Amália find Augusto. Constância and Tiago prepare to tell Amália that Afonso will have an heir with Catarina.

Amália despairs when Constância and Tiago tell her about Catarina's pregnancy. Afonso explains to Amália that he doesn't remember what happened and tells his beloved that nothing will change between them. Amália doesn't accept Afonso's arguments and ends her relationship with the king. Catarina tells Lucíola that she needs to find Augusto. Catarina suffers an accident and fears losing her baby.

Glória is surprised to see Rodolfo in the castle of Lastrilha. Lupércio assures Afonso that Catarina's baby is out of danger. Diana suspects that Gregório is in love with Amália. Lucrécia decides to go with Rodolfo to Lastrilha. Diana overhears Catarina threatening her to Delano. Selena discovers that Héber knows Augusto's whereabouts and tells Amália.

Diana asks Selena and Amália for help when she learns that Catarina is planning an attempt on her life. Agnes dreams about Brice's daughter and deduces that she is alive. Selena tells Tiago that she and Amália are investigating Catarina. Catarina orders Delano to follow Diana. Orlando tells Heráclito that Glória is living in the Lastrilha castle. Afonso sees Delano leaving Catarina's room and becomes suspicious.

Amália confirms to Afonso that she is looking for evidence of the crimes committed by Catarina. Afonso tells Gregório that they need to keep an eye on Catarina's steps. Selena and Amália decide to go to Héber's father's house to investigate Augusto's whereabouts. Catarina orders Delano to follow Selena and Amália. Romero finds a suspicious substance in the mine galleries and Afonso asks Olegário to investigate.

Afonso asks Olegário to find out who is responsible for selling gunpowder. Constância tells Amália that Gregório is interested in her daughter. Otávio leaves with his army to invade Artena. Lucrécia enters the castle of Lastrilha looking for Glória. Amália asks Catarina if she was the one who caused the mine explosion.

Amália confronts Catarina, claiming that she will obtain evidence against the queen. Afonso orders Romero to interrogate all the alchemists indicated by Olegário. Amália tells Tiago that Virgílio will help her unmask Catarina. Tiago discovers that Dráuzio received a bracelet as payment for a shipment of gunpowder. Afonso tells Catarina that the bracelet was found in the house of the murdered alchemist.

Catarina accuses Tiago and Amália of having placed the bracelet in Dráuzio's house to incriminate her. Afonso pretends to believe Catarina and expels Tiago from the army. Afonso explains his plan against Catarina to Gregório. Otávio takes the castle of Artena. Naná is terrified when she sees Glória and realizes that the effect of the magic fruit has worn off. Gregório goes to Amália's house and confesses his love for the market vendor.

Afonso orders Romero to prepare the army to expel Otávio from Artena. Gregório holds back his emotions when he hears from Amália that she loves Afonso. Otávio asks Aires to keep an eye on Virgílio. Amália advises Diana to fight for Gregório. Aires follows Virgílio and watches Enoque tell the Marquis about Augusto's whereabouts. Augusto hides when he sees Delano. Amália and Selena find Augusto.

Amália and Selena offer to protect Augusto from Delano. Augusto tells Amália that he is afraid of being captured again by Catarina. Amália reveals to Augusto the crimes committed by Catarina. Afonso deduces that Rodolfo helped Otávio recruit mercenaries. Brice discovers that his daughter was sold. Augusto makes a revelation to Amália about Catarina. Catarina is surprised to see Brice

Catarina expels Brice from the castle. Afonso explains to Gregório that he needs to think of a new strategy to defeat Otávio. Diana tells Gregório that Delano is the one carrying out Catarina's orders. Afonso confides in Diana that he is pretending to support Catarina. Augusto decides to return to Montemor with Amália and Selena. Virgílio goes to meet Amália and is surprised to see Afonso

Afonso makes a request to Virgílio, who refuses to reveal Amália's whereabouts. Otávio tells Rodolfo that he has ordered the water supply to Montemor to be cut off. Lucrécia encourages Rodolfo to make peace with Afonso. Afonso reveals his plan against Catarina to Gregório and Diana. Afonso tells Catarina that Delano has been arrested on suspicion of the mine explosion. Afonso and Gregório manage to capture Catarina.

Afonso gives Romero orders about Catarina and warns the queen about her trial. Afonso tells Tiago that Catarina was caught red-handed and asks Amália's brother to return to the Montemor army. Afonso plans a way to defeat Otávio. Betânia suspects Naná. Glória and Lucrécia fight over Rodolfo. Enoque arrives at the castle and is rescued by Brumela and Romero.

Afonso confronts Otávio, who ends up running away with Aires. Augusto tells Afonso that he will not testify against Catarina. Catarina is surprised to see Augusto, who tells his daughter that she will be punished for her crimes. Tiago fights with Selena over Ulisses. Diana promises Amália that she will investigate Catarina's son. Catarina confronts Augusto.

Catarina suffers with Augusto's revelations. Agnes promises Selena that she will consult Brice's book to make Afonso remember what happened the night he supposedly slept with Catarina. Otávio tries to convince Rodolfo to participate in an ambush against Afonso. Lucrécia warns Rodolfo about Otávio. Afonso is surprised by Rodolfo's visit. Glória looks for Osiel.

Romero confirms to Augusto the veracity of the information given by Rodolfo. Glória tells Osiel how she lost weight. Afonso reconciles with Rodolfo. Romero tells Lucíola that she will be questioned about Catarina's crimes. Augusto is crowned king of Artena. With the help of Agnes and Selena, Afonso makes an important discovery about Catarina.

Afonso warns that Otávio has surrounded Montemor, leaving the city without food and water. Afonso and Amália are surprised by the agreement proposed by Otávio. Aires warns that Montemor's soldiers have attacked again. Afonso hits Otávio. Amália pursues Catarina.

Lucíola confronts Catarina: 'I'm going to tell everything'. Constância reveals that Brice was the lover of Martinho, Amália's father. Selena and Ulisses get back together. Amália discovers that she is Catarina's sister.

Last chapter: Augusto surprises and testifies against Catarina. Brice fails in his plan to protect Catarina and asks his daughter for forgiveness. Before serving her sentence, Catarina says she would do it all over again. Gregório asks Diana to marry him. Selena is crowned queen of Lastrilha.
