The structure was the life's work of Giles Gilbert Scott , but it wasn't completed until 17 years after his death, which was, in itself, 75 years since work began. Before climbing the outside to the top of the 150ft bell tower, McCloud examines the inside and stands beneath the highest gothic arches ever built.
