A giant storm looms on the horizon and underwater welder Duke must brave the icy waters. "Will he be able to make the repair before his air runs out?" Later, the team is called to save the day when a local cannery unexpectedly shuts down. But the problem turns out to be worse than expected.

Then, Kodiak’s only hydro-electric plant has an emergency shutdown that could cause a major blackout in the middle of the Alaskan winter. Dennis and George rush to make the tricky repairs to this one-of-a-kind turbine part. Meanwhile, office manager Theresa enlists Scottie’s help to teach a deadbeat captain a lesson he will never forget.

Can they fight against the surging seawater and make the repair before completely sinking? Back in Kodiak, Cooper gets his first assignment and is forced to work with a demanding skipper. Meanwhile, office manager Theresa teaches Dean how to settle financial disputes face-to-face. But while driving to see a customer, the two get stuck in deep snow on a remote mountain with no help in sight.
