Episode 1

Eric Lanlard welcomes a teacher's bake club to his home to demonstrate how to make the perfect cupcake. Offering constructive criticism on their chocolate and hazelnut cupcakes, he also provides recipes for his cupcake selection, including a decadent roasted pineapple, as well as a tiramisu. Later Eric gets commissioned along with his business partner Patrick Cox to create fashionable cupcakes for a shoe launch at Harrods.

Master patissier Eric Lanlard is invited to create a fabulous wedding cake for Delicious magazine's Royal Wedding special.

To show that baking can be a healthy alternative, Eric invites a health-focussed bake club to his home to make an egg-, dairy- and nut-free chocolate cake. Eric also takes a visit to Stoke Mandeville, home of the Paralympics, to train with the London Wheelchair Rugby Club and to bake an energy packed apple cake.

Eric invites the Sainsbury's bake club to his home to show them some spectacular molecular gastronomy including raspberry coulis spheres. Eric is also commissioned to create a glamorous centre piece for a party.

Eric gets the opportunity to use his favourite ingredient - chocolate - when he shows a group of bakers how to make a chocolate and raspberry mousse. He also gets the opportunity to meet up with his old friend Willie Harcourt-Cooze and to tour around his chocolate factory.

Eric shows a group of community bakers how to make an upside-down berry sponge. He also pays a visit to Covent Garden flower market, where he orders some exotic fruit in order to create a flamboyant desert with Vivek Singh, the executive chef of the Cinnamon Club, to celebrate the restaurant's 10th birthday.

Eric invites the British Council bake club to his house to teach them some French patisserie. He also visits Burgh Island in Devon where Agatha Christie worked on many of her novels. Eric is challenged to create a cake for their mardis gras celebrations that draws on the island's history and the art deco architecture of the hotel for inspiration.

Eric meets with the mature students bake club to try their English-style éclairs. He then teaches them how to make Choux Parisienne. Eric also sets up a pop-up shop in a trendy new bar in the heart of the London to see what the city makes of his cakes.

Eric meets the Brazilian Bakers and samples their white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. He also visits a Kentish vineyard and compares English and French wines.

Eric meets with the Boxing Bake Club to compare cookies. He also picks up some pointers in the ring in exchange for some tips in the kitchen. Also, Eric is excited to be commissioned by The Halcyon gallery in London to create an afternoon tea with a difference.
