With Garrett's trial for Maya's murder starting, the town of Rosewood has become a media spectacle. Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer crash the Ravenswood Founders Day Celebration after finding a clue in "A's" new lair that Ali may indeed be alive. Dressed in their finest Edwardian wear, the ladies hit the creepy cemetery party to find Ali before "A" can. But if Ali is truly alive, could the PLLs be leading "A" straight to their friend without knowing it? With Ezra lurking in the shadows, "A" may be closer than the girls realize. Meanwhile, Caleb heads to Ravenswood to help the girls and meets kindred soul Miranda along the way.

An intriguing riddle from “A” has the Liars hitting the road and heading to Ravenswood, where they are surrounded by some familiar faces. During a very special magic show, one Liar pulls a disappearing act, leaving the other three scrambling to make sure she hasn’t succumbed to “A’s” tricks. But before they can hightail it out of Ravenswood, they make a shocking discovery that proves that everything they thought they knew about “A” and the “A” team might be wrong. With this discovery, the Liars may just have started “World War A”-- #WorldWarA. Meanwhile, Hanna and her mother’s joyous reunion is cut short when “A’s” sights are set on a new target. And Toby uncovers some surprising information about Wren.

Spencer is back home and presenting a good front, but Aria, Hanna and Emily are not so sure their friend is fully back after seeing how fragile she was just a day or so before. Unfortunately the girls don't have much time to ponder Spencer's health as shocking revelations are brought to the forefront. With so much happening and new information being uncovered, will the Liars be ready for what is waiting for them?

No longer the mighty four best friends, the Liars are at each others' throats and Emily has been iced out completely. But what could have divided them so severely? Has "A" finally won the game of divide and conquer? With Emily now truly on her own, is she ripe for "A's" picking?

A summer has passed since Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer found out about Mona being ‘A’ and Maya’s death…. Each of the four girls spent their summer in different ways – Aria taking a photography class, Spencer taking college courses at Hollis, Hanna taking cooking classes with Caleb and Emily building houses in Haiti. But… with post-traumatic stress, anger and the acquisition of more secrets the four Liars are anything but fine. Now all back together and coming upon the second anniversary of Alison’s disappearance, the girls find themselves back on the defensive when a shocking event rocks Rosewood.

After their recent encounter with “A”, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer think they may be closer than ever to figuring out whom “A” really is. But when the girls decide to enlist Caleb’s hacking skills to help with their quest, Hanna no longer wants a part of the plan. The last thing Hanna wants is to get Caleb involved in something else shady and also to open the door to questions that Hanna can’t answer. Once the girls realize that “A” has a helper, Hanna has no other choice. Instead of focusing on figuring out who the “helper” is, Hanna decides to put all of her efforts into throwing a surprise party for Caleb. But will a surprise party at Spencer’s lake house be the diversion Hanna is looking for, or just a recipe for disaster? Meanwhile, Aria and Ezra must deal with the aftermath of coming clean.

Relationships are in flux in Rosewood, PA as the Liars face many obstacles. As Noel steps up his pursuit of Ezra and what he can gain from his knowledge, Aria and Ezra start to feel like there may be no way out. Emily must also deal with opposition to her love life, as her mother Pam's perceived tolerance of Maya comes to a screeching halt. And Spencer must now handle the return of happy newlyweds Melissa and Ian, even though her suspicions of Ian's ties to Alison grow. But with the other girls' support and unexpected help form an unlikely source, the future for the Liars doesn't look so hopeless. Meanwhile, "A" has Hanna jumping through old habit hoops with regard to the stolen money. Will Hanna fall back into her old ways, or does she have the will power to stand up to "A" and her games?

Caleb's involvement in cracking "A's" phone has had Hanna worried from day one and now "A" is determined to punish him for it. With Det. Wilden and Garrett now circling Caleb on bogus hacking charges and in possession of his computer, Hanna and her friends are convinced that this won't end well. What are the police looking for on Caleb's computer and better yet, would could "A" have possibly planted on the computer to interest the police this much? Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer may soon get another example of what happens to people they involve in "A's" game. Meanwhile, Aria learns what Holden's been keeping a secret as Byron starts to question the relationship.

It's the Halloween before Alison disappeared and where all of the secrets and lies began for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer.

Hanna's new interest in crime novels helps her to come up with a plan to try and figure out whose body is in Ali's grave. While Hanna is on her hunt, Spencer is working overtime to decipher the stories in Ali's diary which she hopes will reveal the identity of Ali's mystery man. But with both girls hot on the trail, will their work lead them straight into "A's" path? Meanwhile, Aria is upset with the new friend Mike has made and Emily's dad is concerned about her behavior.

Aria is down for the count when sidelined by the flu, so Hanna and Emily are on their own to follow up on a new clue. Surprisingly, Meredith steps up to help take care of Aria while her father is away, but when it starts to look like Meredith may have ulterior motives to her nursing Aria back to health, Hanna and Emily turn their attention towards saving their friend. Is Meredith just trying to start anew with Aria and be her number one fan, or is there reason for her friends to be concerned? Meanwhile, Spencer takes a break from all the sleuthing to surprise Toby for their anniversary.

"A" targets the girls once again as they attend an upscale camping trip for one of their friend's birthday party and they fear that "A" may want to crash the fun. The FBI becomes involved in Alison's murder case because of new evidence that they have found. Also, Ashley faces difficulties because of her financial situation.

The Liars face off with their enemies in a chaotic fight that ends fatally. One of the PLLs learns a secret about her past that changes everything while another Liar discovers something about her future that could alter her course forever.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are on the quest for answers of what Alison knew before she died and they might have just gotten a big lead when someone from Alison's past appears. Duncan might hold the key to all of the girls' answers, but can they trust him to let down their guard? And just when they feel like Duncan may be the only lead, Jason drops off a bag of Alison's personal items that could be more than just a bag of junk. Meanwhile, Toby's return to Rosewood brings a surprise reunion that ends dangerously.

A new "A" player is in town and is determined to show the Liars that he/she means business. After getting a gruesome reminder that "A" is still calling the shots, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer try to quickly devise a plan on how to deal with this old/new threat and the usual game that has been taken up a notch. Spencer and Hanna continue to play with fire as they look for answers, while one of Aria’s past indiscretions becomes fodder for "A’s" game. Meanwhile, a still very shaky Emily tries to focus on school but could easily be derailed when she remembers a crucial piece from "that night."

Rosewood High’s "Truth-Up Day," is not just an opportunity for the students of the school to air their grievances and stop bullying, but also a chance for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer to get answers to some burning questions. Spencer looks to find answers on what is going on between Jason and her father when Jason shows up as a chaperone; Aria continues to question Holden on what exactly he is up to during their "date nights," and Hanna tries to figure out the latest situation with Kate. But will the girls be ready for what they find out when shocking truths are revealed? Meanwhile, Emily gets help from an unlikely source to get back on the Rosewood swim team.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have been the target of "A’s" games for awhile, leaving them emotionally cut off from their families and friends. Meanwhile, Spencer runs from her family troubles right into Wren’s arms, as Ezra’s new opportunity could push him away from Aria.

Spencer is determined that it is finally time to tell Aria about what she has found out about Ezra, but Emily and Hanna are worried about what it could do to their friend. A wrench is thrown into the plan when Ezra tells Aria about his concern and suspicion of Spencer's recent addiction problem. As the girls see this as the final humiliating blow to their high school careers, the girls' mothers try to make the best of a bad situation by offering a home prom in Spencer's barn. At first reluctant, the PLLs agree and try to make the best out of a bad situation. But one to never miss a formal, Charles has other plans in store to make this a night they will never forget. Meanwhile, Veronica, Pam, Ashley and Ella use prom night to touch base on everything that has happened to their daughters.

When dealing with matters of the heart, people react in many different ways: Still crushed over her break-up, Spencer continues her downward spiral as she now takes her anger and hurt out on Mona. Caleb, on the other hand, hides his pain by being closed off when discussing his father. But when Hanna devises a plan to bring father and son back together, will that help Caleb heal old wounds or just make things harder? And Aria, who is still missing Ezra, finds she is spending more time with Wes. Meanwhile, Emily and Jason work together to put together the pieces of Ali's trip to Cape May and what really happened during that vacation.

The homecoming decorating committee is knee deep in balloons, and girls are jockeying for position to be the queen, while four friends from Rosewood just try to stay afloat. Dealing with heartbreak, a boyfriend's virginity pledge and a vengeful sister all take a backseat when one girl makes a shocking homecoming date choice that puts her in a possibly sticky situation. Will the girls be able to protect one of their own, or will the evening turn out to be a night they can never forget?

Spencer’s numerous sleepless nights with the help of prescription pills start to take a toll on her as her hunt for Ali and much needed answers continues. As she pours over newly acquired information, her world view takes a black and white turn. But in this world of fedora hats, switchboards and 15 cent coffee, can Spencer finally put all of the pieces together that lay in front of her?

As romantic relationships move forward, the Liars investigate a new suspect in the murder case. With Ezra back in Rosewood, Aria must tell him the truth about her involvement with his book. Spencer and Caleb deal with a media leak that affects the campaign. Hanna takes a look at her life after an incident at work. Emily gets harassed by the stalker while she continues the search for Sara. Meanwhile, two lovers finally tie the knot with the help of a special officiant.

While new discoveries are made in the investigation of Charlotte's murder, the truth begins to emerge about the Liars' personal lives. Spencer is concerned to learn her mother is keeping a secret of her own. Aria confesses to Liam how deeply she's involved with Ezra's book. Ali admits that she and Elliott are more than just friends. Mona reveals where her true allegiances lie. Caleb, Spencer and Hanna deal with the complications of new relationships. Meanwhile, Emily and Hanna each receive shocking threats that elevate the seriousness of the situation.

All is revealed as the ultimate endgame comes to light.

After the stalker nearly killed Emily, the Liars begin to take the threats more seriously and attempt to keep their mouths shut to prevent any further harm. Caleb must deal with the collateral damage of taking the blame for the leak about Yvonne; Spencer tries to comfort him and get him to tell the truth. Emily goes on a mission to track down who came after her. Aria and Ezra move forward with the novel. Meanwhile, Hanna avoids dealing with her personal life.

After being blackmailed by A.D., one of the Liars begins to supply info to the dark side in order to protect those closest to her. Detective Furey questions how much the PLLs know about what happened to Archer Dunhill. Aria tries to issue an ultimatum to Ezra in regards to Nicole, while Emily struggles with how to support Ali. Spencer goes to elaborate lengths to meet up with Mary Drake and encounters Wren. After learning something surprising about Lucas, Hanna sets out to prove her friend is innocent and uncovers even more troubling info.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer find themselves back in familiar territory with the Rosewood P.D. knocking at their doors looking for answers and their actions now affecting the loved ones around them. With her mother's job on the line, Hanna tries to come up with an alibi that could save all four of them with the help of her old high school friend, Lucas. Meanwhile, Emily comes clean about the last five years, and Aria goes the extra mile to keep Ezra's second book in play with her boss.

After Alison is confronted with a sudden, mysterious jeopardy, the Liars decide to take things into their own hands for a counterattack. Hanna and Caleb work together to develop a plan to come face-to-face with the tormentor. Emily and Spencer team up to investigate if Mona had any involvement with the murder. Aria and Ezra continue to work on the book though it might be more difficult than anticipated. Meanwhile, Ali encounters an unexpected visitor.

As the girls are forced to stay in Rosewood, questions about the new mystery surface. A restless Aria starts to look suspicious as she heads back to Boston a little too quickly. But could Aria really be the one behind this? As Spencer, Emily and Hanna find themselves back in familiar territory, they aren't happy with going about solving this puzzle "the old way." Meanwhile, Emily continues to lie about her life in California and Alison keeps a close eye on her friends.

Emily butts heads with teenager Addison, who appears to be a new version of high school Ali, and who may be connected to a familiar foe. Spencer confronts her mother about keeping family secrets. Aria confides in Holden about her relationship with Ezra, while Spencer turns to Detective Furey for help. And Jenna stirs up even more trouble when she returns to Rosewood with some insight into Noel Kahn and recent events.

With the fallout of Hanna’s abduction still weighing heavily on the PLLs, the Liars begin to grow suspicious of Elliott Rollins as Ali’s condition worsens. Tensions rise between Liam, Aria and Ezra as they work on the book together. Spencer and Caleb are on edge, as neither of them want to talk about the awkward elephant in the room. Meanwhile, Emily receives a disturbing phone call and tries to find a way to see Ali.

In order to prove Sara Harvey is behind the threats, Team Sparia reunites to find evidence of Sara's involvement before they go to the cops. Caleb puts together a plan with Hanna to fight back against the new stalker by using the security footage tapes. Meanwhile, Aria gets unexpected news from her family, and Ali comforts Emily in her time of need.

Emily goes up for a position as the Rosewood High swim coach, only to learn that her ex-girlfriend Paige is also up for the job. Hanna is visited by Mrs. Grunwald after she has a vision that the PLLs are in danger. The girls track down the doctor who delivered Mary’s baby in order to get answers. Ali decides to go back to work to help bring some normalcy to her life again.

Testimony at Alison's trial reveals a plethora of lies; Spencer, Aria, Emily, and Caleb follow a string of clues in hope of uncovering information that will clear Hanna.

With the Rosewood P.D. breathing down Hanna's neck about The Radley security footage, she opts to confess the truth to those closest to her in hopes they can help. Aria continues to search for answers, with help from Emily, on whether Ezra is as guilty as he seems. Spencer works together with Caleb to track down the new threat. Meanwhile, there is awkwardness all around when new love interests emerge and old ones resurface.

The girls talk to Alison and try to get her out of jail after uncovering Mike's connection to Mona. Meanwhile, Spencer travels to London for a college interview; and Alison turns to someone unexpected for assistance with her murder trial.

With Mona making inroads in the game, Emily reluctantly teams up with her to investigate. Ashley returns to Rosewood to check on Hanna after learning some frightening information and asks Caleb what his intentions are with her daughter. Meanwhile, Spencer’s family reels from A.D.’s latest taunt, leaving Spencer more confused than ever about who to trust. Ezra notices Aria’s change in attitude and fears he may have lost her; and A.D.’s machinations cause Aria to have a terrifying nightmare.

After years of tormenting and numerous shocking revelations, Torn between their old habits and their new lives, the events in Rosewood compel the Liars to join forces once again, as relationships are put to the test and secrets are revealed. Having matured over the past few years, these are not the same girls who left Rosewood. As new lies emerge – how will they push forward without going back?

As Detective Furey closes in on uncovering what happened to Archer Dunhill, the Liars team up to protect one of their own. Hanna continues to struggle with the idea that Lucas might be connected to A.D. even in the face of more evidence. Emily surprises Ali with a heartfelt gesture that is undone by A.D. machinations; and the Liars gain insight into where the idea for the game originated.

The circumstances surrounding Alison's disappearance continue to haunt Aria, Emily, Spencer and Hanna, as questions arise about the night she went missing. To complicate matters, Jenna's return to Rosewood makes the girls face an unpleasant past and an incident that sealed their friendship forever. Can the girls face what has taken place in their past, especially since "A" won't let them forget? Meanwhile temptation is everywhere they look, as Aria tries her hardest to stay away from Ezra and Spencer won't shy away from her sister's fiancé, Wren.

With all signs pointing to Lesli as the tormentor in the hoodie, the PLLs are on a mission to get concrete proof before bringing their findings to the police. But as the girls ramp up their investigation, "A’s" threats escalate. Meanwhile, a friend of Emily’s makes her a surprising offer, and Spencer is pressured by her family to make an important decision.

Hanna is sure Jenna is to blame for a recent professional setback and is forced to bring Caleb up to speed on current events. Aria and Emily team up to investigate Sydney for more information about Jenna and her connection to A.D. Spencer grows closer to Detective Furey, while Aria struggles with her current situation with Ezra. Hanna’s turn at the game is more intense than she bargained for and leads to shocking consequences.

Spencer enlists Hanna’s help to search for Caleb as he’s missing in action. Aria and Emily stumble upon a secret apartment they hope will lead them to more answers.

Jason returns to town to stop Ali from getting too close to Mary. The girls learn something new about Mary and Mrs. DiLaurentis that leads them to a storm cellar full of clues. Ezra gets a call about someone in his past that could change his course. Noel Kahn grows more and more suspicious and rises to the top of the list of suspects for Uber A.

After the shocking events at the school marathon, Aria, Emily and Spencer are sure now more than ever that Mona is up to her old tricks. Hanna, still holding out hope for her former friend, is not so sure. With Mona seemingly popping up everywhere, it sure seems like she has a plan. But with no real evidence to prove Mona is back to her evil ways, how can the Liars prove what they believe to be true? Meanwhile, Aria's fears about her father grow stronger when something vital that is hidden in her room goes missing.

Mona returns to Rosewood in a very fragile state as she must answer to the police for faking her death. Matters only get worse when she is confronted by Lesli’s sister about Lesli’s inadvertent involvement in Mona’s plot. Hanna is determined to help Mona out, not only to reassure her she is safe from Alison but also to try and repair Mona’s friendship with Lesli. Emily tries to help Sara with her troubled home life by encouraging her to explore the possibility of emancipation. Spencer, on the other hand, finds help from someone from her past. Meanwhile, Alison grows closer to Lorenzo as she looks for support outside of her family.

The prosecution calls a surprise witness in Alison's trial; the girls hunt for last-minute evidence.

Emily's relationship with Paige has been anything but easy, but she finally feels like their relationship is going in the right direction. So when Spencer comes to her with a sordid tale about Paige's history with Alison, Emily is not ready to heed her friend's warnings. With Spencer knowing Paige's violent past and this new information about a blood feud between Alison and Paige right before Alison disappeared, she can't stand by to let one of her best friends get close to a potential enemy. But will Spencer cross a line that Emily can't forgive in her attempt to prove to Emily who Paige really is? Meanwhile, Aria feels she has to help Ezra move on from his past if their relationship is to move forward, but what she finds may be more than she expected.

The Rosewood PD turn up the heat on the Liars, causing loved ones to try and close ranks. Aria’s recent collaboration with A.D. comes to the attention of a surprising source. A.D. presents the PLLs with a choice designed to drive a wedge between them. Meanwhile, everyone tries to find a bit of happiness before all hell breaks loose. Toby returns to Rosewood, and Aria makes a horrifying discovery.

Now that Ali's remains are back with her family, the DiLaurentis' are set to bury her again, giving Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer another opportunity to say goodbye to their friend. With everything that has gone on since Ali's disappearance, the girls are divided about going to yet another memorial. Aria, Hanna and Emily are ready for another round of goodbye, if not for them but to also support Jason. Spencer, on the other hand, has had enough and wants nothing to do with the burial. Why keep saying farewell to a girl who wasn't that great of a friend after all? Meanwhile, Emily goes to visit Dr. Sullivan to help with her unresolved feelings about killing Nate, but comes away with much more than expected.

Trying to ignore "A" backfired for the girls, and now they must pay the penalty. Whether it's a family in crisis, parental praise for an undeserved honor looming over their heads or wearing totally unfashionable scrubs while working off a debt – the girls must deal with it all. And on top of that, "A's" lipstick message is still haunting them. Meanwhile the girls must also deal with typical teenage drama – the boy kind – when a new boy arrives and pushes the status quo, a secret love is tested, a new romance blooms and an old romance is floating in the grey area.

The Rosewood P.D. begins to unravel the Liars’ cover-up, which leads them to question Rollins’ death altogether. Hanna deals with an inward battle on whether or not to tell the cops the truth, while Ezria struggles with an awkwardness in their relationship. Jenna reveals part of her plot and a new partner she is in cahoots with. Ali learns that the Liars gave her up as Charlotte’s killer in order to free Hanna, which does not go over well. Meanwhile, someone is murdered for playing with the wrong team.

Everyone has secrets - Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have more than most, but with all of the secrets they are holding it may be starting to get overwhelming for them. Aria knows that she should tell Ezra about his son, but she isn't ready to face the idea of what it might do to her relationship. Hanna, on the other hand, is sure Caleb is keeping a secret from her and she is determined to find out what it is. Spencer is fed up with all of the secrets and decides she no longer wants to play the games. Will their secrets drive the girls to take desperate actions that could, in turn, make the situation worse? Meanwhile, Emily learns more about what Ali may have been hiding the summer before her murder.

After Hanna’s shocking abduction by “Uber A,” the PLLs and company desperately race against the clock to save one of their own. The only way to do this is by handing over evidence of Charlotte’s real murderer to “Uber A.” In order to do so, the girls must decide what blatant lines they are willing to cross that they have never breached before; and once they cross that line, there is no turning back.

One of the PLLs goes rogue to prove that Noel Kahn is Uber A, while the others try to find evidence to back her theory and worry about her emotional state. Emily unexpectedly turns to Paige for comfort in her time of need, which causes tension in her other relationships. Jason and Aria team up to look into Mary’s past and what she might be hiding.

After lying to Alison and Jason about Charles, Kenneth comes clean about the family’s connection to the young boy. While he won’t give much detail about Charles’ past, he say’s enough to give the PLLs a clue of where to look for the missing pieces – Radley Sanitarium. With Radley now closed and the files shipped off to be shredded, the girls must act fast before all traces of Charles’ past disappear. Meanwhile, Caleb’s protective nature starts to pinch Hanna, and Spencer seeks a remedy for her sleeping issues.
