To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, Tom and Jonny build an armored version of one. Shootout: Vicki races the brand new Audi S5 against the BMW 335i. Jason teaches Kyran Bracken how to drive on a track and then lets him have a go in an open-wheeled Formula Palmer Audi race car. Tom drives the new Maserati GranTurismo coupe on some beautiful roads in Italy. Jonny drives the incredibly small, but expensive, 4-door Mitsubishi “i” and then tries to get the same thing for less money by bolting two Smart cars on top of each other which ends in a hilarious result. Tiff heads to the French chateau where the Bugatti Veyron is assembled and gets to drive one on both the streets and the track where he gets it a bit sideways!

Jason tests the recently facelifted Jaguar XJR by dressing up for the part of a common Jaguar owner. Dom Joly, creator of Trigger Happy TV, rents a tank for the day to drive around his home village. Vicki drives the new Vauxhall VXR8 to the limit Tom and Jonny take two Reliant Robins and modify them to their liking for racing against each other. Jason finds out if he can find an exciting used car for £9000 and then sell it for a profit. Tiff drives the Lotus Exige 265E, a bio-ethanol powered car that ends up getting 50 HP more due to it’s fuel. Tom checks out the new Volvo C30 Sports Coupe. Vicki takes a look at the Volkswagen Golf GT which has both a turbocharger and a supercharger. Jon Bentley finds out at what speed is the best to go over a speed bump. In this episode of Fifth Gear Tiff Needell and Karun Chandhok take two high performance saloons to the track to discover which is the fastest, and most entertaining, to drive. BMW have a long history of producing very quick family sized cars, and on paper their new M4 looks every bit as good. By comparison Lexus has never made a car of this type – however their new RC-F seems to match the BMW blow for blow. Three tests will determine which car best deserves its £60,000 price tag. The Bentley Mulsanne Speed is, according to the manufacturers, the fastest limousine in the world. But, being a Bentley, it’s extremely luxurious to. Jonny Smith takes a tour of this £300,000 car, which has a top speed of 190 mph but also comes equipped with Champagne flutes.

In this episode of Fifth Gear Vicki Butler-Henderson and Tiff Needell travel to Romania to sample some of the car culture there. This includes driving some massive off-roaders, meeting a local classic car restorer, and racing a motorsport mad Mayor up the streets of his town. Tiff and Vicki travel to the wilds of the Romanian countryside to drive some extreme off-road vehicles made by a company called Ghe-O. They start off by having a race in Ghe-O’s fast Fighter buggy. The winner then gets to drive the company’s biggest machine, the Rescue. It can go literally anywhere so Tiff decides to take Vicki for a spin…up a river.

In this episode Fifth Gear re-unites two of the greatest names in Formula 1 history – Prost and Senna. This time it’s Ayrton’s nephew Bruno and Alain’s son Nico who will do battle on the track. With Tiff Needell and Karun Chandhok in attendance they set out to discover which of a current crop of hot hatches is best. It’s a knockout competition that will eventually result in just two cars racing head to head around the Snetterton circuit. And that means one thing – it’s Prost v Senna all over again. After nearly 60 years the greatest 4x4 in the world, the Land Rover Defender, is about to go out of production. Vicki Butler-Henderson celebrates the end of an era by taking part in a high speed off-road challenge against current Defender Challenge Trophy champion, Edd Cobley.

Tiff talks about some people’s fear of driving and with some help from a car psychologist, helps cure a woman of her fears. Tom reviews the awesome Aston Martin DB9, the best Aston Martin yet. Vicki gets some NOS and makes a diesel Golf compete with a Honda NSX driven by Tiff.

Vicki, Adrian and Tom go out and look for the ultimate Mini and come across some very cool mini’s. Tiff goes to Malaga in the south of Spain to drive Klaas Zwart’s supercar, the Ascari KZ1 at his supercar track resort. Tom talks about the new Land Rover Discovery.

Tiff and Vicki find the best 4×4 available in Britain for under £20,000. Returning guest presenter Jason Plato (a British touring car champion) drives the Chrysler 300C which has a Hemi! Adrian goes and meets Richard Hopkins, one of the top players in “World Rally Champonship 3″ for the Playstation 2 who is now trying out real rally racing.

The Fifth Gear crew return to their 200 MPH car project and continue work on their 1999 Lotus Esprit V8 GT. Tiff meets up with the VMax car club and rides with 19 year-old Adam in his dad’s RUF Porsche 911 to try to hit 200 MPH.

Tiff and Jason compare the Dodge Viper SRT-10 and the Corvette C6. Vicki drives the new contest car, a classic 1964 Volkswagen Beetle 1300. Tom tests an Ariel Atom 2 that has 300 horsepower thanks to a supercharger and then takes it through a car wash. Jon Bentley examines a new, safer type of lamp post and what happens when you crash into a regular style pole vs. the new style.

Fifth Gear Shootout: Tiff finds out which is quickest, the Porsche Cayenne or the BMW X5. Jon finds out what Britains think the most prestigious car in Britain is. Vicki drives the new Citroen C4 VTS. Tiff follows a competition where the Renault Formula 1 team will choose one young person to become a new engineer on their team.

With MG Rover having gone out of business recently, Vicki examines which models are good deals with the serious dealer discounts. Jason goes to Monaco to check out the Top Marques Monaco Motorshow, a motorshow for high rollers featuring tons of really expensive cars including the Pagani Zonda F, Bugatti Veyron, and others as well as a £20 million yacht. While in Monaco, gets an exclusive look at the £300,000 Venturi Fetish, a radical new sportscar, and then bumps into former James Bond and Monaco resident Roger Moore who is interested in buying one.
