The investigation leads to an employee of the Foundation who reported a money laundering network involving the artist's works. The whistleblower soon becomes the victim of a widespread online harassment campaign, following a mistake by Vanessa, who publicly revealed his identity. A Franco-German journalist and blogger, who came to cover the "500 Nocturnes" (a famous Alsatian car race), is found murdered in the middle of the bridge spanning the Rhine.
