Derek Galbraith is addicted to two things: building with logs and backcountry skiing with his friends. So he and his friends are pooling their resources and talents to build their dream ski-in, ski-out cabin near some of the best skiing in the world. They have three weeks to build, tear down and transport over 20,000 pounds of logs and materials, only to rebuild it all over again on the edge of a cliff. This is where the real world meets real muscle, building off-the-grid in Alaska.

Dave Bartlett and Hans Moser are building an 832-square-foot beachside retreat on a remote island 15 miles off the coast of Juneau, Alaska. They are building the cabin as a favor for their best friend, Steve, but juggling an already jam-packed build schedule with the complexities of building on a remote Alaskan island forces the men past their limits into unknown territory.

Lee Raymond has just three months to wrangle the wild Alaska shoreline into a dream 2,800-square-foot fishing cabin. With plans to build a multi-level cabin complete with a full basement and bonus loft on remote Bulchitna Lake, Lee has his work cut out for him. There are no quick trips to the hardware store in this remote location. The only way in or out is via floatplane or helicopter, and the closest signs of civilization are miles and hours away. It'll take sheer will, determination and good ole muscle for Lee and his band of builders to meet his tight deadline.

Tony Malone has four weeks to redeem his reputation and build a 624-square-foot getaway cabin in the remote woods, miles outside of Haines, Alaska. It's an uphill battle from the start for Tony after his partner suffers a backbreaking fall, leaving his young crew to make up for lost time. Battling poor road conditions and relentless rain throughout, it's a make it or break it build and Tony and his crew will have to rely on good ole Alaskan fortitude to pull it off.
