SUN and SING live happily in the wild world. They live a simple life. SUN guides SING how to live with nature. SING experiences the primitive life style. SING admires SUN who has deep knowledge in living in the wild world. The relation between SUN and SING is getting better and better. MAK and MAN are still trying to find SUN's trace. They eventually find SUN's truck at the foot of a hill. MAK's superior, HUNG, is very serious and cold-blooded. HUNG orders to besiege SUN. In order to save SUN, MAK has to find SUN before HUNG gets him. with MAN's guidance, MAK eventually finds SUN and SING. However, SUN again flees away in confusion. He even seizes MAK's pistol. SUN and SING flee to a small village. The police besiege the village. SUN is shot in confusion. SUN's life is at stake. SUN asks MAN to take good care of SING before he died.

SUN has passed away. SING is being sent to the children centre temporarily. MAN is applying for the right of breeding SING. SING has become very reserved and silent. He misses SUN and his words. MAN and YEE' s relation was already not good Conflicts further arise due to SING. MAN has eventually got SING after a lot of complicated procedures. MAN tries his best to make SING feel good. However, SING escapes away instead. While MAN is vexed for SING, he finds that YEE is disloyal to him. At the same time MAN gets to know a girl named YIP FONG. They leave a deep impression on each other. with MAK's help, MAN finds SING in a remote hill. SING agrees to back home with a conditioned that he could meet SUN again. MAN does not know what to do.

MAN knows that he could not fulfil SING's wish, he tells SING that SUN had already died. SUN asks SING to make another wish. MAN can eventually affect SING with his sincerity. SING is willing to follow MAN home. MAN and SING back home happily. However, YEE is packing her stuff and plans to leave. She wants to separate from MAN. MAN implores YEE to stay but is in vain. He asks YEE to cooperate with him in cheating the social worker. MAN and YEE create a happy family image so as to gain the right of fostering SING. YEE agrees to help. They are succeeded to hide the truth from the social worker. YEE then leaves. MAN is very upset. He drowns care in wine. SING consoles MAN. SING and MAN get to know each other better. They become very intimate. They comfort each other. SING's school has a new teacher. The new teacher is YIP FONG who has met MAN before.

FONG comes form a rich family. She just backed from overseas. She will stay in Hong Kong for one month and will back to U.S. to see her husband. Her move to work at SING's school seems to have a secret. FONG deliberately gets close to SING. The school held a football team member selection. SING is one of the hottest potential football team member. Meanwhile, somebody plays trick on the disciplinary instructor refuses SING to tell the teacher who is the naughty guy. SING faces the risk of being disqualified in the football team. SING is very upset. MAN does not know the details. He thinks that there is still a gap between SING and him. He deliberately treat SING better. He gets into trouble through clever means. SING refuses MAN's good intention. MAN does not know what to do.

SING eventually tells MAN the football team member issue. SING has to win a professional football player, YIM, before he could join the team. MAN encourages SING to face the challenge. SING is lack of confidence in himself. In order to help SING re?gain his confidence, MAN studies a lot of knowledge regarding football. He hopes that he could help SING. In another aspect, FONG also appoints a current professional football player to train SING. MAN then knows that FONG is the good teacher who always takes care SING. During the selection, SING is filled with confidence. SING wins YIM miraculously. Applause is showered upon SING. MAN takes a days off for catching SING's football match. It leads MAN to be sacked. The result of the selection is announced. Unexpectedly, SING is not selected.

MAN finds the selection not fair. He swears to speak for SING. MAN makes a speech during the pennant presentation ceremony. He makes a solemn and convincing speech. SING is eventually selected into the football team. Since MAN was sacked, he strongly believes that there is of no use to be an employee. He decides to lend money from the loan shark and buy his own truck. He feels very prospective. FONG held a birthday celebration, she invites SING to join the celebration. MAN feels strange about FONG who treats SING so good. SING enjoys the celebration a lot. He stays in FONG's home overnight. MAN the first time stays at home alone since he has adopted SING. MAN feels very lonely. He suddenly aware that SING and him have already established a very special relationship.

SING is cute and lovely, FONG is happy to see him. FONG tells SING that she is his real mother. She comes to Hong Kong to find SING. SING thinks that his mother had already passed away. Thus, he could not accept FONG for the moment. He runs away. When MAN has known FONG's real identity, he also cannot accept the truth. SING eventually returns home after wandering for a night. SING turns very cool to FONG. MAN is happy to see SING who does not want to recognize FONG. FONG's husband YEUNG MAN LAI has arrived Hong Kong from U.S. LAI requests FONG to back to U.S. with him as she has already fulfilled her wish in meeting SING. FONG refuses his request. MAN decides to give back SING to FONG after thorough consideration. SING knows MAN's decision. He strongly opposes MAN. MAN scolds SING that he is a burden to him. He even points out that SING does obstruct his career development and makes him so unlucky. SING is shocked. SING them follows what MAN has arranged. The lawyer expresses to FONG and LAI that the chances to win in the suit is very low. FONG decides to tell the truth. LAI opposes and threatens FONG to divorce. FONG carries on her plan. FONG tells the story about SUN, LAI and her. In fact, FONG, LAI and SUN were good friends. FONG and LAI were going to get married. However, they always quarrelled with each other. He reports to the police on one hand, he follows LAI secretly on the other hand. LAI excuses to help them finding SING, he takes the chance to approach FONG instead. MAN suspects his intention. FONG expresses that she only aims to find SING and there is nothing between LAI and her. MAN is relieved. The relation between FONG and MAN is more stable. SING is sick in the hut. LAI has no alternative. He sends SING to the hospital. MAN discovers SING's trace. He could eventually save SING from danger after a hard chase. LAI apologizes to MAN and expresses his motive. MAN is affected with his passion. He is ashamed of himself who has never treated FONG so good. He considers thoroughly. He decides to develop his career elsewhere. FONG is left in Hong Kong alone. MAN returns to Hong Kong after three years……
