On a sunny day, Lottie Dottie and her family go for a bike ride in the mountains. Little Yellow Chickadee goes off searching for something that catches his attention, but nothing impresses him until he finds a super colorful mushroom, and Lil' Butterfly uses her magic to teach him the colors.

It's time for Purple Rooster and Lottie Dottie to give Little Chickadee a bath, but, for him, everything is lots of fun and full of bath bubbles.

On a rainy day, the family goes to the library. The 3 hens are librarians and each one is in charge of one of the 3 floors. The family members are all interested in different types of books, but, in the end, they all read together.

On a dull, gray day, Lottie Dottie and Purple Rooster try to cheer up Little Yellow Chickadee by showing him some new colors.
